Is that what manny was taking?

No. That was a fertility drug. Great hitter. Not a very bright man…

Supposedly it was a "masking agent".

(I welcome puns.)

Manny was super clean with the Sox.

It is possible.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of players turned to PEDs later in their careers to combat the effects of aging. Especially if they just get frustrated by not being the player they’re used to being…

And leading the charge is Nesty who should be the all star game starter, granted Martin Perez is giving him a run for his money

Don’t sleep on Alek Manoah, Tarik Skubal and Dylan Cease…

Nesty’s ERA is lower than all of them, although Skubal’s WAR is higher. That being said, nobody is going to vote for Skubal as he’s pitching for an awful team while Nesty is pitching for the Yanks who happen to be best in baseball

This is why I stack my fantasy baseball team with Yankees players. If the Yankees are doing well, I at least get something good out of it. If the Yankees are stinking, who cares what my fantasy team is doing.

FTR, I always pull against the Yankees. I am always willing to sacrifice my fantasy team for the good of baseball humanity.

Stanton, Rizzo, and Judge have been a big part in putting my HR Derby team in ist place. Keep it going boys.

That's why I'm glad I'm not in any fantasy leagues. I would hate to find myself cheering for a Yankee.

Umm, it's actually better for baseball when the Yanks are doing well. Most popular team in the country and also the team many love to hate.

1. Vote? Pitchers are not chosen via the voting process

2. A Tiger has to go.

I agree no Red Sox, because for me it takes away from watching the Red Sox games.

Some thoughts on the Yankee offense:

1. 6 of their top 8 players by PAs in 2022 are 30 or older. (8 out of top 12, too.) 5 are 32 or over. (I'd add that Gallo-28- is playing like a 38 year old.)

2. Like many teams, they have their share of black holes in their line-up.

PA rank Player OPS

4. Kiner-Falefa .630

8. Hicks .596

9. Gallo .577

11. Higgy .411

12. Marwin .626

13. Andujar .596

3. Like the Sox, the offense is pretty much carried by just 3 big bats:

1.075 Judge

.860 Stanton

.803 Rizzo

3. Like the Sox, they have 3 players in he 700's:

.768 Torres

.739 Donaldson

.738 LeMahieu

4. Judge has 21 of the team's 79 HRs. Judge, Rizzo (13), Stanton (11) and Torres (10) have 55 of 79 HRs.

5. The Yanks are 6th in runs scored (253)- just behind the Sox (257). They are 10th in BA (.245). The Sox are 2nd at .260.

6. The Yanks are 1st in wRC+ at 118. (Sox are 9th at 109.)

I’d challenge that IKF is not a black hole. He has absolutely no power, but he makes contact, takes extra bases on the base paths and is on pace for 22 steals and 85 runs from the bottom of the order. He’s a great add to this lineup that was all or nothing.

Higgy is now the backup. Trevino is hitting very well. But I do not even consider getting another catcher which all the NY publications are predicting. We are finally seeing what a year without an atrocious defensive shitbag behind the plate looks like, and it might set records

Gallo hit a big homer today, but he’s been awful. Hicks has also been awful. Marwin is a great guy to have on this team as he’s versatile. We do need to bring in another left handed OFer who can hit for average. That shouldn’t be too hard to find (Beni).

I guess .630 is no longer a black hole, these days. .600 is the new .700. His .267 BA ranks third on the Yanks, so maybe you have a point.

TB and Toronto losing. Bout to head to Minnesota with 7 and 8 game leads respectively in the division. They get 3 at Minnesota then 3 at home vs the Cubs before their meat grinder schedule opens up
