Like I said Schwaber will hit HR’s, but doesn’t hit for average with a high of 266, and is not a run producer either with the amount of HR’s he hits. He did knock in 92 one year, but outside of that his high is 71. Not worth in my opinion a big contract. JD may not be the hitter he once was, but I don’t think he’ll be traded in his last year, and will give more production than Schwaber. Other more important holes to fill then like you said another DH.

ERod got the start because he was the best bet to do well and was not on short rest.

 

He did not do all that well, but with a little help, he might have gotten out of that inning.

I think we might be reading too much into Cora's choices and intentions.

 

If we advance, ERod will likely start again- maybe even game 5.

 

It was the right choice to start E Rod. It didn’t work out, but it’s not like you had tons of choices. The penalty you pay for not winning the division, and having to use EO in the playin.

Come off it. He had two choices, ERod and Pivetta, and ERod has been better the last two months and went 6 shutout innings at the Trop a month ago. Plus he pulled ERod after he had given up just 2 runs. Now it's pretty obvious he is giving Pivetta a chance to show what he can do because there could be more than 3 games.

 

Another thing. Why is all this on Cora and ERod? In case you haven't noticed, the hitters ain't hitting.

Now it's pretty obvious he is giving Pivetta a chance to show what he can do because there could be more than 3 games.

I would take my chances with pivetta any day of the week. Rodriguez is a nibbler and he looked scared of the moment. He f***ing sucks.
