ERod lucky. That superb play by Renfroe got an out plus some slack for ERod with just men on 1st and 2d instead bases full.

Sox are better hitters than the Mets. but Stroman is keeping the ball low and his stuff has a sharper break.

He swung at two balls way out of the strike zone in that at bat. Should have had a 3-0 count with bases loaded. Huge turning point in this game. Followed by E-Rod imploding.

Yeah, those were horrible swings in a key moment. As I said he is a good hitter, not excellent nor elite, just a good one.

Stroman is not throwing lots of strikes and his 2 BB's to ERod's 3. But what he is good at is keeping the ball low--thus the ground outs. My gosh! JDM swings and misses at a sinker right down the middle. Stroman's 2d K in the game.

Thanks God Mets suck at hitting, otherwise this would have been out of reach already.

Our offense somehow needs to step up. There's still plenty of game.

Sox two hits by Dalbec and Iglesias. No hits by the top six in the Sox order after two at bats for each of them. But Schwarber and Bogey both got walks.

just got home to check on the action and glad i didn't have to watch the Erod meltdown. Same story on bases full non-scoring Bosox hitting. But , what's new with either of those story lines?

Dalbec, righty vs. righty gets his second hit, a long, long double to CF. One has to wonder what is the problem with Schwarber, Devers, and Verdugo.

JD, or Schwaber should have sat tonight. Not Renfroe.

Maybe Bobby Dee should be moved up in the line-up. I believe he's earned it.

Disagree. Leave him where he is so he keeps hitting. Plus his chances of being brought home are better when he is followed by Vazquez and Iglesias.

Great baserunning by Vazquez. Very opportunistic because the Mets didn't have anyone covering 3b.

Oops. I guess they did. And Vazquez remains one of the most clueless baserunners in Sox history.

He doesn’t attack batters. He always nibbles and looks like he is pitching scared.

yeah, he lacks of character.

20-20 hindsight. Defense-wise, JDM in LF has not been costly. And Schwarber and JDM both have better OPS's than Renfroe.

That said, I would have kept the regular outfield and benched JDM against this righty.

Would it be illegal to to put a shock collar on Vasquez when he is on the bases?

LOL! I'm all in.

Cora hasn't talked to him regarding this. He still sucks.
