I have to believe that Crawford throws a cutter.

No Devers deliveries today unless he pinch hits.

TBS is showing the game today for outside of market viewers.

I just don’t understand this lineup. All these games now are important. Heading down the stretch.

So other than inserting Devers, what would you do differently?

Devers is arguably the best hitter of this team.

Unless he is hurt, it doesn’t make sense sit him now, We are already short.

Just checked Crawford's minor league numbers. In 75 games between Double-A and Triple-A he has a 4.16ERA, a 34.5% strike out rate, and a 4.3% walk rate. The K rate and walk rate are excellent. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

75 innings, Splendid, over 16 games (15 starts) this year. The K/Bb rates are really good.

He also had 5 appearances at Portland in 2019 pre TJS.

He said he didn’t understand the line-up. So I asked other than the obvious change of Devers, what would he do differently?

I agree Devers should be in there; the only other reason he wouldn’t be in is if his numbers against Plesac were absolutely putrid, say 0-10 with 9 K’s. That I have no idea of.

Well he lead off with a walk.

Our pitching in the minors must be downright terrible if this is the only good option they had. Edited by d-money

Oh my bad ill.

Yeah, he should be there.

It’s not only who they had, but who’s available. If Pivetta goes on the Covid list yesterday, they keep Seabold from starting last night and he’s pitching today.

Whoever has coached Crawford as to pitching effectively failed to mention "low" , every pitch hit has been up . This guy shows no ability to take advantage of 2 strike counts

There seems to be some great reluctance to bringing Seabold up.

I'd like to hear them answer why he hasn't been called up, yet.
