I was just thinking about if Shaw has a nice run over the last 35 games, he would get an invite to Ft. Myers, or a minor league invite elsewhere , but he has virtually no chance of staying with the Red Sox, assuming Bloom wakes up this winter

Gordon has got a really loopy swing. When he does connect, the ball goes. But I am willing to bet that if he keeps that swing the number of times he hits it......not so much.

Man, 74 pitches for Hauck already. Don't thinks balls out of the strike zone as much as Hauck is getting very little past the hitters. They are fouling off most of his best stuff.

I understand not putting guys on base just to set up force outs, but I might have made an exception for Sano trying to create the force at home. Easier to get a DP with the bases full than 2nd/3rd. That's off the table now and you are down by 2 runs

Have said it all season… how do we continue to suck against pitchers??? Guys swinging out of their shoes most every at bat… nobody really changes any approach at all with two strikes! Time to evaluate the hitting coach!!

Tough outing 80 pitches in 4 inning with a walk and 8 hits. The Sox offense looks anemic so far so Houck may need to come out if there is a chance to win this game.
