Hmmm true. Inconsistent at its finest

However I will say. E Rod has looked very good his last 3 starts. Nate is good and Sale looks very good. If we can even go 7-2 in the next stretch of 3 series we can bump Oakland out of a playoff spot. A one game wild card against the Yankees. Surprise surprise it would come down to that, but damn would that be exciting

I’m starting to find my optimism again.

The Rangers, like the O's, can help create optimism.

Only two Canadian born ballplayers are in the MLB HOF. Fergie Jenkins is one; can you name the other?

Clue: He wasn't a pitcher.[/quote Larry Walker

Very close season stats for OBP , .353/.355.

However, Schwarbers K rate in 2021 is is close to double Rafael's. May be the reason Rafi goes #2

I’m amazed at how the Yankees turned around their season and this team collapsed literally.

The Yankems had good starting pitching most of the season and a good BP. You had to figure their offense would eventually come around. Also, their trade deadline pickups didn't hurt either.

At this point in the season one excuse the SOX can't use is injuries. I don't have the stats, but I'm guessing that of all the contending teams the SOX have had the fewest IL's. Except for Arroyo, who is an injury about to happen, the SOX have been a very healthy team this season.

Between Devers and Schwarber, the latter should hit second.[/quote'

Devers is going through a tough stretch while Schwabers OBP is astounding.

Arroyo had a contusion on his hand and another on his leg. Those are hazards of the game. His pulled hamstring came when he tried to play an unfamiliar position. Give the guy a break.

I don't have to. He does it on his own.

True but the way this team collapsed is just terrible. I feel like they could have played a lot better. What’s gonna be different in 2022? Is this team gonna spend?

You could call it a 'collapse,' but I feel the weaknesses on this team just caught up with them, even though it took about 100 games.

There's no doubt this team overachieved for more than half the season, but like clutch hitting, magic and mojo, that's usually not sustainable.*

*If for nothing else, this season has introduced me to a word I really like.

Was tonight the night the death spiral stops or was it just a temporary pause.

Sox have a great opportunity to win a bunch of games moving forward next couple of week.

Booking wins will be important while gaining confidence again and enter into September strong.

I still have faith compadre.
