Yanks lose 10-5...Up 5-4, Chapman gives up tying home run, hits a batter and walks a batter and gets pulled at 5-5. Mets score another 5 on top of 7th (double header)

G Cole only goes 3.1 inning and gives up 4 runs.

I am talking about the offfense dude. Get a grip.

Some folks enjoy pitching duels. I'm one. No accounting for tastes.

Devers up with Verdugo on 3d, JDM on 1st, and no outs. And he hits into a double play. Verdugo scores, however. It's remotely possible Kaprielian knows what he's doing.

Wonder how long in the early days of baseball did defensive positioning develop so that the majority of hit balls went right at a defensive player ?

Both starters have pitched great, combining so far for 11 innings, 1 run, 15 K's, 2 BB's, and 5 hits (4 by the Sox).

The Sox two best rbi men have both had golden opportunities--men on 2d and 3d and men on 1st and 3d--and stunk it up.

For those enjoying Yankee misery, they traded Kaprielian to Oakland in the Sonny Gray deal.

No commentary from Jacksonian extolling the virtues of NYY'ers vs the lowly rebuilding , no shot Sox ?

Lol. I cracked a smile reading this. And yet, I do enjoy Yank misery.

Realize that when Chris Sale does return maybe mid August, he's very likely to begin with a sequence of 3-4-5 innings so he better bring a designated reliever with him from Worcester

You can almost read their faces..."What the hell am I doing here?"

There's your 1 run, Pivetta. Now go with it. Words Bob Gibson often heard when he pitched for the offensively challenged Cards.

Hey, that was before the DH. Gibson could have done some offensive damage himself (and he was a decent hitter for a pitcher; he hit about .200 and had over 20 career homers).

Who are these announcers on MLB tv. Obviously the deep voice guy played in MLB before.

Deep voice is Ellis Burks; began and ended his career with the Sox and played for a few teams in between.

Not sure who the PxP guy is. They are filling in for O’Brien and Remy this weekend although it could be for the whole west coast trip. I don’t think the announcers are traveling with the team yet.
