Well, I stayed away from the game thread for 3 straight games, and we won all 3. I guess I have to stay away some more.

Reading back a few pages, I guess the negativity hasn't let up.

It's unrealistic to think it ever will.

The offense came to life.

ERod showed sigs of turning the corner.

Some struggling bats came a live a bit.

Devers is keyed in. Line shots everywhere.

Maybe the team will go on an epic tear if you stay away from the forum entirely.

You'd like that.

Reason enough not to.

LOL.

It must be killing you to watch Bloom's team win so much.

Good news today: former yankee pitchers put a dagger in the hearts of Yankees fans! Offense was strong!

Bad news today: workman may need more seasoning in Worcester!

That’s a stupid thing to say to a Red Sox fan.

I think Bloom’s best move was bringing in Tek to game plan with the pitchers. That is what I am attributing to the outperformance of the pitching staff. I am also thinking that Bloom knows more about pitching than Ben. His acquisition of position players like Marwin, Kike and Santana shouldn't get rave reviews.

Why leave out Verdugo, Renfroe, Arroyo, Plawecki and some minor league position players with promise?

BTW, it's not stupid, if it's true.

Your disdain for Bloom is well documented.

i do like those guys but reserve judgment on Arroyo.

As as far as minor leaguers, did he bring in Duran? I like him. Franchy is vomit inducing. Not crazy about Downs. I like catcher Wong’s bat.

Besides Downs and Wong, he got Rolando Hernandez for 2 scrub pitchers everyone wanted DFA'd.

He picked up Jeisson Rosario, my sleeper pick this year, Hudson Potts and recently Valdez.

He drafted Nick Yorke & Blaze Jordan, too.

Pillar was a nice pick up, last year.

Maybe none will work out, and you can gloat.

Hang’em Chaim and his revamped baseball analytics department get a solid “A” grade from me.

After last season’s performance and a gaggle of uninspiring off season moves, I seriously doubt even the most diehard Red Sox fans thought we would be more than 10 games over .500 at this point in the season!

Sometimes you just have to tip your hat and say “great job.”!

Now we need hang’em Chaim and the baseball analytics department to ace this upcoming draft. Rocker and bednar and we will have killed it!

It has been a great job overall, but that shouldn’t preclude evaluating individual moves. Some have been great and some have been duds.

I missed the last inning as I was driving. What happened with Workman?

Looked like he started out good tonight no?

2 walks. Can’t pitch a clean inning.

This was obviously just a bridge year to 2022. Only one guy was signed for longer than a year (kike)and that was just for 2 years.

He waited to fill 2B, CF and 1B, so his top prospects could get a look at some point.

He'll have plenty of cash to spend, next year and has nice options on Richards & Perez.

He should have a lot of key questions answered- for good or bad, and the biggest choices start, this winter.

He will ultimately be judged on this winter and beyond, IMO.

He's shown he can find some gems in the rough, and that is important, but the big moves will mean more than anything he's done to date, except for the Betts deal.

Wow What happened lol

I left the game and the restaurant where I was watching the game when it was 4-3 and 0-2 with Vazquez AB lol

Just realized Kike and Dalbec hit for clutch? Really? Wow I guess I’m on Dalbec’s bandwagon band again LOL!

I’m going to put the 8th inning on TV right now and enjoy it calmly LOL!

What happened is that all the doubters and bashers scraped their knees jumping off and back on the bandwagons so many times, it's not even funny.

It's actually sad to watch it every game. I had to take a break from it all.

Nice comeback by the SOX. Nice 5 innings from E-rod, just keep him away from the 6th. Nice relief job by Whitlock and O. Nice job by Cora getting Workman out of the 9th before he caused irreparable harm.

IMO, he is still not fully recovered. His FB still has no perceivable movement and he lost the arm speed on his Change, the one pitch that he depended on all night in his last inning of work.

I hope last night's game shuts up all you E-Rod haters

It won't. But thanks for being one of the few positive people.

Why am I so positive? Because I expected this team to compete for last place with the Orioles. Because they are exceeding my expectations and then some, I'm okay with the 3 game slide in Houston. I'm okay when we get a bad starting pitching performance or when we leave runners on base. But, most importantly of all, as long as we win the game, I don't give a damn what happened along the way. It's not how; it's how many. All that matters at the end of the season is the number in the win column.

I think it's fair to assume that many other people here had pessimistic expectations for the 2021 Red Sox. Maybe not as bad as mine, but I'd go so far as to say that the Sox are exceeding just about anybody's expectations. As such, how can so many people still find a way to bitch and moan every single night about menial details? The most enjoyable seasons as fans are when your team is projected to be bad and ends up being a top 5 team. That's us right now. We're playing with house money. I just can't fathom how anybody can complain so much when we're outperforming like this.
