I have been saying this for a long time. He’s getting worse and showing absolutely no signs of adjusting or getting better.

Even worse than what I said

E Rod is absolute garbage.

In reality he needs to be bench. You have pitchers who have bad games and bounce back. He hasn’t shown you anything in the last 5 starts.

I've been labeled as HATER.....I'm trying to be nice....

Eddie's change to Altuve was in a bad bad spot. Those are meat as well. So FB....FLAT....MEAT. Change....MEAT. That does not leave much that Eddie throws consistently. Her can throw a cutter. Slider has always been Uber-iffy for Eddie except on his best days.

If he gets into any trouble at all in the 5th I would have Eddie outta' there. First hitter gets on...he should get the hook.

Beyond cheap, Houston Crawford Box HR from Altuve.

A shame really. The pitching HAS gotten better overall. But Erod seems to be up and down lately.

"Seems to be up and down lately?????!!" His ERA is 5.47, which, especially in a year when pitching is dominating, tells me ERod is up, down, down, down, and down. Then repeat.

Pretty funny Moon....I get trashed for suggesting he does not get not usage....you know the standard line...he's coming off Tommy John, hasn't pitched in million years....

He's really not getting stretched out.....he's working on a slider for his fourth pitch

They handled him just right out of the gate, IMO, but why say you are going to stretch him out and then not do it?

Stretching out does not mean use more often. It means use for more batters and innings, when you do use him.

His getting shelled in a couple games may have been part of the reason to apply the brakes a little, but here is his game logs since the April 19th statement:

(Days off) IP- pitches

(4) 2.1 -41

(5) 2.0- 31

(4) 1.0- 15 (HR)

(3) 1.0- 23 (HR)

(2) 2.0- 27

(6) 3.0- 52 (finally a sign of stretching!)

(6) 0.1- 15 (HR)

(2) 1.2- 35

(4) 2.0- 36

I'm just not seeing the effort to turn him into a starter.

This is just his 4th straight bad start.

On May 7th, he went 5 innings allowing 1 run. 7 hits and 3 BB with just 2 Ks were still concerning, but that was a decent start.

He had 4 bad starts in his previous 5 starts before today. 6.48 May ERA, before today.

E-Rod is obviously not 100% physically because of his COVID issues and missed time.

He seems to me to be throwing as hard as ever. What missing last year might have caused is the loss of pitching skill, the ability to throw tough pitches to hit. Plus he has always been inclined to be a slow starter, needing a lot of pitches to get through the first inning or two or three.

I agree with you. I'm his biggest fan.

I want to give Astro announcers credit for showing respect to fallen veterans. This is what Memorial Day is all about. Good for them.

This week is supposed to be a litmus test for this team. We shall see.

Irquidy vs ERod, on paper at least, was/is a total mismatch. So winning today would be an upset.

I wonder what excuse will Cora have for E Rod this time?

“I see him growing, had some hiccups but rebound and had some nice innings”

Some stupid s*** like that.

At least spell the man's name right. It's Urquidy.

97 pitches vs 59 pitches....he needs to go work on something. Something is not right.

He's faced way more batters. Stop just automatically assuming the worst

At this point I would rather see the bullpen have a day than E Rod

Whitlock go 3 or 4, Sawamura, Taylor, Ottavino go two maybe and Barnes to close

I would take that any day right now over E Rod

My bad, especially for someone who prides himself on spelling.
