Sox have been working steadily at it and are now mastering the art of losing. Lousy bullpen, lousy decision by Cora to limit Whitlock to 1 inning, 2 errors, and our rbi leader taking a wrecking ball to the offense with those GIDP's.

Seems like Alex is determined to fit Vino in where he does not fit.

I will mention this: We did start 0-3 in April. We are now 0-2 in May. Panic mode? Not yet. Call me in a week

I think Cora should try Vino earlier in games or use him as a specialist to RH hitters only.

I was afraid this would happen. I knew there was going to be something about the larger crowds that scared this team away

Big issue this time around was the pen. First loss, Sawamura came into a tied game and gave up a two run bomb. Second loss, Andriese sucked and blew a lead and lost. Tonight, Ottavino and Barnes blew it. The pen is showing the wear we expected it to

Agreed. This is what I expected from the bullpen. For most of April, this team overperformed. I knew we would come down to earth a little bit, I just didn't know when

Hope you're right, but the 9 game winning streak is looking more and more like an aberration.

s*** happens, good thing we have a day off in order to put our s*** together.

Said that, we will face 2 s***** teams next week, so we perfectly can gain ground in the division again.

NY will finally begin to face good teams, so the gap could be wider again.

It is a long season . There are going to be ups and downs. You are going to lose some games. That is how it usually is. Folks need to relax a bit. This is a pretty good , but not great team. Long way to go.

We started April 0-3. We started May 0-2.

Not worried at all. It’s by-design lol.

On a positive note I do like what I've been seeing of Richards. Nothing wrong with him physically and he has very good stuff. Get his control problem fixed and he could become the top starter on this team.

Frustrating

I said In another thread, thank god we won 9 straight because we are now 8-9 since. This team is just finding ways to lose. Texas is flat out not a good team. Beyond disappointed

What a brutal series for this team. They need to play better baseball otherwise they will be looking up soon. Very disappointing to say the least.

Yeah this is a tough L. We should have won last 2 games and we didn’t. We had the lead on both by 2 runs.

These losses are going to come back to haunt us.

Definitely trending back towards the .500 team The Sox were on paper. Ottovino needs to wake up .

Or only be used in blowouts when he cannot use his Ex-Yankee Jedi Mind Powers to ruin the game...

Agreed. He was atrocious today. In fairness his last 6 innings he only gave up 1 run so he has been solid as of late, but he 100 percent blew it today. Richards had another solid start

You wonder why we gave him away and even sweetened the deal with a pretty solid prospect. Ottavino is a liability. He comes up small when you need him the most

Well he had been lights out for the last week or so. I wouldn't call him a liability. He's just good for a blowup every 5 outings or so

Curious if anyone has the stats on our offense the last 17 games. Since the win streak, we have gone 8-9. Curious where we sitting in runs scored through that stretch.

Also one more question

Where the hell is Valdez lately?

He got hit around last time out, but that was back on 4/24.

Haven't heard anything.
