I'm sick of the playoff format. That series should have been the NLCS. How can MLB let the 2 top teams face off this early in the playoffs? It's a f***ing joke of a system. People might say , but yeah this doesn't happen often. It happened just a few years ago with when the Sox won the WS. It happens more frequent than people think

Bottom line is, whoever your opponent and whatever their record, you have to win the series. I might agree more if they gave out silver medals in MLB, but they don't...

Agreed, and if they want more money from more playoff games, do away with the play-in game and make the first round 7 games.

Heck let's go all NBA and let half he league into the post-season, make sure there are never two games going on at once, and see if we can drag these games out until January. Then after a couple of weeks of off-season, pitchers and catchers can report and we start the whole thing all over again...

Also. it's not a play-in game; it's actually considered a round of post-season play.

And remember, it used to be worse back before there were 3 divisions. Lose your division? Season is over.

The 1978 Red Sox won 99 games and had to go home and watch the 92-70 Royals advance. Heck, the Milwaukee Brewers (also in the AL East back then) won more games than the Royals.

Heck, the 1993 Giants went 103-59 and missed the post-season altogether. Is that format really preferable?

I'm not for half the teams making the playoffs, especially with a 162 game season.

I just think re-seeding the teams after the WC game makes sense.

I'm not really against the WC game, but I'm not really for it, either.

No, but I'd argue the best format was the one in existence from 1995-2011.

The playoffs are fun to watch. That doesn't mean you need 16 teams to make them, but 8 seems just right. (10, if you count the WC game is okay, but not really needed.)

The teams should be seeded by record- not division winners.

That is all.
