Have you looked at our IL? How can you say that's lucky?

I'm not talking about the # of players on the IL. In that respect, the Yankees have been rather unfortunate.

I'm talking about run differential and your record in 1-run games versus your record in blowout games.

Last night it looked like the Yanks were going for the record for blown saves in one game. Also, the " ghost runner " in extra innings is a travesty and an abomination. It should be grounds for removal of the idiot commissioner.

The first time I heard about this rule, I thought it was the stupidest thing I ever heard of. After seeing it in 2020, I wasn't in favor of the rule, but I didn't hate the idea as much. However, after seeing it in play for a bit longer, I am back to hating the rule. Same with the 7 inning double headers.

Field of Nightmares. Too funny.

Thank goodness the White Sox came back and won that game.

All in all, I thought it was a pretty cool thing.

I'd like to see the "ghost runner" start in the 11th or 12th inning.

7 inning double headers will be gone, after this year.

COVID-19 rules that were agreed on by owners and players. Don't understand the gripes, myself.

I would prefer no ghost runner at all. Let the teams play 18 innings if necessary.

I understand the reason for the rules and I agree that having these rules in place for 2020 and even this year was the right thing to do.

I disagree with keeping the rules in place beyond the pandemic as a means to shorten the games or quicken the pace.

It was mostly since Sale’s issues prior to the elbow were the shoulder and since Sevy was ahead of Sale in terms of surgical date.

I'm not doubting your reasons for liking Sevi's chances and timeline over Sale, but I still find it kinda funny.

Plus, I tried to tell you Sale is no average patient.

Sevy now getting a shoulder MRI. Needless to say, he’s done.

German has thrown a successful bullpen. Likely to mix in breaking balls soon and if all goes well, will go on a rehab assignment in 10 days or so.

Kluber sucked balls in his rehab assignment debut but came away healthy.

Cole returns tomorrow. JMont returns Tuesday.

With those two back, the rotation is starting to setup nicely. Cortes has been a nice surprise for a guy who’s more crafty lefty than power arm and Gil has been electric in his two starts. If Kluber can return in September and be anything like why he was, that’d be huge.

Sanchez will be activated for the Sox series. Rizzo is better, just going through the cardiac testing protocols as required. Could be activated soon. Urshela had a set back and return is tbd.

Once Sanchez and Rizzo come back, I wonder if we will see Judge in CF with Stanton in LF and Gallo in RF for some games. As Voit has returned with a vengeance, it’s behoove the Yanks to put Rizzo at 1b and Voit at DH.

Had Sevy come back and Kluber not went down, the rest of the injuries could have been overcome.

You guys are still in it, but somethings need to go right.

The very tough A's schedule gives you a good shot at a WC berth.

Watch out for the Jays.

I think the Jays have too many shortcomings to do it. They have talent , but they look like a team that is not quite ready just yet.

They did add Berrios, but that's probably not enough.

Their best chance is for the Yanks and M's to tank.

Yanks have been rolling even though they’ve blown a bunch of games they should have won. They’ve got a solid 1-2. Cortes is throwing well. Gil is promising. If we can get Kluber and German back, we should have enough to make some noise, we just need to punch our ticket to the dance

You've gone 11-5 in the last 16 and 13-6 in your last 19.

23-12 since July 4th (G1 of 2 that day).

The Sox have gone 19-20 since July 1st and 25-20 since June 25th.

6-11 the last 17.

15-19 the last 34.

The Sox are 21-14 in one-run games.

The Yanks are 19-12 in one-run games.

Our problem with one run games is that we’ve had multiple 4+ run leads blown in the 9th. Imagine if we closed down easily winnable games like we should have?

Interestingly, this Yankee squad has underperformed tremendously prior to the ASB. It’s hard to tell if they’re playing over their heads now or playing as they should be

The reverse seems true for the Sox. Were we playing way over our heads until a few weeks ago, or is this the real Sox?

Gotta like the shorter sample size:

3 in a row and 4 out of 5, while you guys have won just 3 of the last 6.

Posted
We’ve won 4 of the last 6, 9 of the last 12, and 14 of 19

I cherry-picked the worst, which is not bad at all. You've won 3 of the last 6.

I also like cherry picked stats. With the Yankees, Joey Gallo's slash line is .333/.535/.867 in plate appearances where he does not strike out.

Impressive stat get!

Not that impressive a stat.

No we haven’t. We went 2-1 vs White Sox and 2-1 vs Royals

Correct.

My bad.

The worst I can find, without going back too far is you've won 4 of the last 7.
