I think most casual Sox fans are underwhelmed by his signing just because it's been so long since he was a top end guy. Kluber would have been the more interesting signing to casual fans. There's a 50/50 chance that he's better than Kluber this year.

 

Kluber reached far higher highs as well, but is also older and coming off a more concerning injury. Richards was actually healthy last year, so there is that.

No idea about Dutchy, but do think Imperial59 was posting here when I started. That name looks vaguely familiar to me.

 

But, hey, after using the name "notin" (which has no actual significance or meaning or similarity to my real name) and no other screen names* since I started posting ESPN, Boston.com, freeforums, talksox, and baseballtradevalues.com for a lot longer than I care to admit, it is nice to FINALLY be accused of having alternate trolling identities. (Assuming this Dutchy character was a noted troll. Was he? And did he share my addiction to parenthetical commentary and ending non-interrogative sentences in ellipses?)

 

 

 

 

*As I lost the "notin" moniker due to a password snafu on mlbtraderumors, I do now use the alternate ID of "Ketch", which also has no significance...

I'm sorry. My joke was a little too "inside" for you.

 

I was just riffing on the "or not" being an inside joke that we keep alive. Whenever a new poster comes around and starts bickering with A700, they are often accused of being a former poster (Dutchy) who has been banned multiple times for being a dickbag on the forum and filling various users' inboxes with porn and gore. This kind of went away after 2016's influx of BDC users as all the new Dutchy suspects may have melted down A700's circuits.

i have accurately spotted the Dutch reincarnations about 90 percent of the time. The most recent douche bag reincarnation has been Pumpsie Green. My circuits are just fine. Go back to hating on your co-workers and bosses.

You have spotted them, but it definitely was not 90 percent. Around the time of April 2016, there were a lot of BDC guys that suddenly became Dutchy suspects (maybe Slasher?).

Even Pumpsie seems questionable. He did post here and at free forums after leaving BDC.

 

The one guy talksox really missed out on was andrewmitch. He would just attack people relentlessly and then block them. Classic stuff...
