f***ing puke. Go Rays.

Man i hope the rays can hit some. I know they can pitch but they can hit? They will need to find a way and hit.

Dave Roberts apparently made a grievous tactical error in Game 3 burning Urias for 101 pitches in a 15-1 blowout. I think it was on the MLB website a guy wrote an article questioning that move after the game.

A post that didn't age well.

But if the Braves had cashed in more runs early...

I think the two most deserving teams are in the Series. The Rays beat the Yankees during the season and again in the playoffs . Then they beat a tough Houston team. The Dodgers have been the best team in MLB all year. It should be a good World Series . Have to make the Dodgers the favorites.

Braves f***ed this game up when they had that baserunning blunder. That changed the whole outcome of this game.

Not sure they would have scored anyways, but yes, it seemed to deflate the Braves.

Agreed, but never count the Rays out.

Also, the Dodgers have a long and recent record of coming up short.

Should be a good series.

Yes , the Rays are definitely a live underdog. As for the Dodgers always coming up short ; they do have a little something extra this year that they didn't have before , if you know what I mean.

For sure!

It's the only reason I wouldn't mind seeing them win, but I'm pulling for the Rays.

Go Rays.

And welcome to 21st Century Baseball, where the Rays would have as many titles as the Yankees...

That would be great. Something else to make Yankee fans grind their teeth.

Fight-Club Kelly. The last time the Dodgers were in the World Series, Joe was on our side: 5 games, 6 IP, 4 H, 0 BB, 10 K, 1 win, and an ERA of 0.00.

Last year's NLDS did not go as well for Joe.

Whats the point of these players/ coaches wearing masks in the dugouts when they have it off their faces over 50 percent of the time? Makes me laugh. Just don't bother wearing one as you're defeating the purpose of it by not wearing it all the time

It's not a Talksox gamethread without d-money. Love reading your commentary, even though I'm rooting for the Dodgers

I could be wrong but I can't see this being a close series.

That's because the Dodgers look like the proverbial team on a roll.

Tonight will be key, as it is a bullpen game for the Dodgers. If they win tonight, the series is over, but it also reinforces that they are back to playing like the best team in baseball after Games 1, 2, and 4 of the NLCS

A team that escapes near-certain doom like the Dodgers did in the NLCS can be tough to beat after that.

The 04 Red Sox were down 0-3 in the ALCS and then ran off 8 straight.

The 07 Red Sox were down 1-3 in the ALCS and then ran off 7 straight.

There are plenty of other examples.

So can there be momentum in the playoffs? Kimmi?
