Just thinking of Jose Bautista and Rougned Odor...

Personally, I'd prefer not to see it, though I'm not going to criticize any player for doing it. If a pitcher doesn't like it, then pitch better. At the same time, I think that any player who showboats like that should expect a good beaning to the bum area. Pitchers don't intimidate hitters enough anymore. We need to go old school when it comes to this type of thing.

Lucky to even be in the playoffs.

Just goes to show you the true randomness of baseball in a short series.

What's even more random is the fact that they've never lost a postseason series. That's amazing

I still cannot believe the AL is not playing again until Monday.

What am I supposed to do all weekend?

*Cough* football *cough*

I'm thinking that streak is about to end.

I've mentioned before that I actually like football and will usually watch the playoffs. One of the problems that keeps me from watching more games is that I don't have a football package, and so the number of Pats games I get is limited.

I know that there are many ways to stream games these days, but I'm just not up on all of that stuff, and I apparently don't care enough to figure it out.

IMO, the Rays are getting a little too cocky for their own good. I don't think things are going to end well for them.

Patriots have a national TV audience this week. They're in Kansas City. One of the games of the year IMO. 4:25 Sunday. And there's no baseball? You got no excuses this time LOL

I agree with you, but you never know. Last year, everyone kept saying the Nationals were going to lose the next round. Oh they beat LA? They'll lose in the NLCS. Then when they did, oh there's no way they'll beat Houston

As the Bautista/Odor thing showed, it's not just the pitcher who takes offense, it's the whole team.

I don't mean to be rattling on about this, but when I watched that Padres game, I couldn't help thinking it's going to lead to something at some point. Especially with our old pal Manny in the mix.

I can see the Marlins taking down the Braves. But that's just a pure gut feeling.

If Machado does something to either Mookie or my boy Pollock while they're on base, I'm getting on a plane to Texas to personally beat him up

It's like the Jets and Super Bowls. Can't lose 'em if you don't make it there most of the time

One Super Bowl?

The Marlins have played 7 postseason series. And are 7-0...

The Marlins have arms like Sandy Alcantara and Sixto Sanchez . Not exactly household names , but they can bring the heat and can dominate a game . The Dominican seems to turn out these kind of pitchers with regularity . Also , I don't care for the idea that a division winner has to play a best two out three falls wild card series . Doesn't seem right.

Maybe Sixto Sanchez's parents loved Seinfeld. Sixto has a better sound to it than Seven

Marlins winning the World Series would be the most 2020 thing possible in the MLB this season.

I’m on board with Marlin Mania...

And they drafted/signed neither of them.

Alcantara was acquired (with Zac Gallen) by trading Marcell Ozuna to the Cardinals. Sanchez was acquired in the trade that sent Realmuto to the Phillies.

They also have Pablo Lopez (acquired from the Mariners for David Phelps), who might be the best of the three...

How great would it be if it was Marlins-Padres in the NLCS and A's-Rays in the ALCS. All 4 LDS series are divisional matchups, so you never know

Well, so much for that.

The series absolutely could go either way. I don't think they Marlins will win the next series, but I wouldn't bet any money on it.

I agree with you Bell. Apparently, many people love seeing this kind of thing, but I would prefer not to see it.

I forgot to mention, but it was good to see (well I didn't actually see it) Kershaw get that 'can't pitch in the playoffs' monkey off his back.

I guess we can call him a clutch pitcher now.

I think besides obviously rooting for anyone playing Yankees, I really want winner of Padres/Dodgers to win WS. I still root for Mookie and love me some Tatis Jr
