Inspired by 5GG and Bellhorn, the idea is simple. Assign the perfect walk up song for any hitter (or pitcher) past and present. Explanations are welcome but not necessary.

Also, if you have a better song for any hitter already done, go for it.

An easy one

Jose Canseco

Let me start this by giving you mine from my senior year of HS:

Absolutely amateur players are welcome. It can make any jokes difficult to get. But hey, if you had one in real life, go for it.

And that’s actually a pretty good choice for a walk up song. I’m going for (bad) jokes here, but I like the choice.

Also, hypothetical players are welcome too.

Another one needed would be David Cone and his perfect song.

There's no joke in mine. The meaning of the song, the catchy chorus, and how it aligns with my general life philosophy was why I picked it. It was also semi-popular at the time

Yeah. As I said, it’s actually a pretty good choice. Plus it shows a certain intimidating importance in the lineup...

Manny: "Madman Across the Water" Elton

Damon: "Signs" 5-Man Electrical Band

Boggs: "Walk This Way" (for a couple reasons)

Ortiz: As much as he'd like "Bad to the Bone", I gotta go with "Holly Jolly Christmas" Burl Ives... because Papi's the narrator/singing snowman who brought so much cheer to our island of misfit fans

Isn't Neil making an assumption there with "a little part of it in everyone"? Greenwell was clean!

Maybe he was just talking about how steroids affect others. Like costing them the MVP award?

Varitek's actual walk up song was so perfect it's not worth changing.

I love it!

That same crew could also use

Yes! I think that was Josh Reddick on the skins. Bagwell was flicking his lighter in the front row at the end, but Nolan Ryan and his wife got up and walked out.

Your boy Springer is a cheater.

Yes, but all he did was let it happen. Now, don't get me wrong, turning your head is just as bad, but he wasn't the ring leader or anything. For that reason, he can remain my personal hero

Sounds a little double standard-ish from your opinion of whether Cora should be rehired. I get it. We tend to defend our favorites more fiercely than we would defend others, but if he cheated, which he did, then he cheated. Cora cheated and is serving a one year suspension. At least he is serving some sort of punishment for his wrongdoing.

You could argue we're all serving a punishment by having the season delayed LOL

I'm not opposed to Cora getting rehired, I just don't think he will. First of all, we fired him. Of course the cause for termination has been proved to be moot, but a firing is still a firing. It's pretty hard to just forget about that. Additionally, when he comes out of the suspension, he's essentially a free agent. It's not like we own the rights to him, and it's not like he'll automatically want to come back to the Sox, assuming we even want him, which I don't think is a guarantee. Too many moving parts, at least right now. I want to see how much the players and front office like Roenicke first.

You still have Matt Barnes and the very underrated Nick Ahmed...

I don't like him because he went to UConn. I like him because he's become the role model for stuttering. It seems like he had it worse than I do when he was a kid, and he beat it, so it gives me hope. Mine's much better, but still rears it's ugly head on occasion. He's not that much older than me, so I hope my day is coming soon

Well that is something Mr. Springer accomplished without any help from his Astros’ teammates and something that isn’t marred by any scandals.

James Earl Jones and Isaac Newton are also excellent role models for stutterers..

And Nick Ahmed is really, really underrated as a baseball player...

Xander Bogaerts should definitely be "X Gon Give it to Ya" by DMX

I think it was at one point, maybe earlier in his career
