Sox sign Cesar Puello. He’s likely to be your 4th OFer

Yeah. I called this one two months ago...

A rare moment where my predictions align with reality!!!

Light hitting, good glove, is right handed. Seems like the guy they needed. Not as fun as Puig though.

I still want Puig. Puello is bench fodder and is only on a minor league deal anyway.

He's basically the new and improved Gorkys. While upgrading over Gorkys was nice, there are bigger fish to fry...

It doesn't look like they want fish fry fridays. Looks like they are going vegan this year.

Who does Puig play in place of?

RF.

Verdugo to CF. Bradley to KC for Ian Kennedy.

This prediction is not likely to go as smoothly as my Cesar Puello signing prediction...

i will give props when/if we sign puig. iirc you were the first poster on the puig bandwagon (if there is such a bandwagon)...

if that one happens it will be impressive but not as impressive as when you absolutely nailed Clay Buchholz 1/2 year stats (i forget what season).

I might hav e been the first. But it's a small bandwagon, so far with just myself and mvp on it. Unless you're on that one with us, too.

Thr Buchholz one was nice. That was in 2015. But it all started with the Nava prediction in 2014...

i was very much OK with puig until we got verdugo. if we trade or DFA JBj during ST then i would be back on the puig bandwagon but for now i am off.

I consider Puig the most likely impact player left on the market, and potentially the only one left. If the Sox think they need players capable of making an impact - and they do - he is where you start.

Of course, you do have to acknowledge the reason he is the only impact player left on the market...

Puig would be fun as s*** on a mediocre team.

I don't like the guy, but he would be fun to watch, and he may go all out to try and build a case for a big contract, next winter.

And if he just stinks, he's not going to drag the team down.

Puig to the Sox makes too much sense. RH, power hitter, cannon for an arm, runs like a deer, head like a bipolar. He’d be on a 1 yr deal

No. No. Nope.

He is the best free agent left. But I think we all know why he’s still left...

Exactly. The best s***, doesnt mean its good s***. In the end, its still s***.

He’s mega talented but insane. He could provide moments of excitement not seen since in Fenway since Carl Everett.

I’d take him mega talent Puig over mega dbag Addison Russell.

But right now, hoping the Sox add Brian Dozier.

And arms!

I remember the Carl Everett days well. That was right in my wheelhouse in terms of time period when I loved the Sox the most. Not sure why you would compare anyone to him. He had 1 great half season.......and the rest was a miserable experience due to his knees, poor CF defense and s***** attitude. He also didn't believe in NASA and dinosaurs. A real crazy.
