Don't you get it. We can't be signing anybody over the age of 30 to anything other than a one year contract. It is all downhill after 30!

I'm lucky my wife didn't know that rule on our wedding day.

Yeah sure, but you know, hindsight is 20/20. No one at the time of the trade could have predicted Mookie would be any good.

He should have been extended much earlier…

You mean 30/30. We knew once Mookie turned 30 years of age, his vertical leap would be less than 30 inches. Before you know it, he'll need a ladder to pick apples.

(that was my notin impersonation)

She knew what she was getting into!

So she’s a glutton for punishment with low standards!

She have a sister?

I get that you're trying to make a joke, but Mookie wasn't even 28 when he was traded. Make it make sense at least.

Not even close to trying to make a joke. I know right - 28. Can't keep them too long. What possible sense would it have made to have signed him to a long term contract?

My 32 (at the time) year old brother married a 21 year old who asked me about my brother's age - "He is 25 isn't he?" Oh yes of course was my reply!

Very weak. Referring to the impression, not the joke.

I like twist ending punchlines after a proper setup, with my standar Comedy Rule of Three…

I would have been more honest. “He’s actually 32, but if it helps, he’s very immature.”

No, only child syndrome. That's how I was able to convince her.

Wow. That marriage doesn't pass the half the age plus 7 test. Yikes!

Which he is for sure but yesterday he turned 81.
