JD=July Disappearance.

Fairly amazing as he does not even hit his outs very hard. Not a total disaster but drifting lower by each game.

OB is orgasmic once again as Chris Sale builds up his K numbers. Sale doing well so far, typical no support despite RISP in first

Announcers mentioned that the Red Sox lineup has been very potent in the first inning over the last couple of weeks or so. I think you can see that uptick correlates to when Beni and his heavy legs and dead bat got dropped from the second spot in the order and replaced with El Toro.

The offense rarely supports Sale. They decide to sleepwalk through his games.

I thought for a long time #7 in the lineup was a much better role for Beni than the top 2 slots this year. He has no real pressure to be the stud he isn't. Just get a high OBP and be ready to run.

It took much to long for Cora to make the change. It cost us wins. If a guy is slumping you need to move him down and get the hot guys more ABs.

Agreed. Cora has been like that all season. And he just keeps saying we will be fine. It’s like he doesn’t panic at all. Well we are officially half way through the season and out of a playoff spot. See if things change with him now.

He reminds me of Willie Randolph when he managed the Mets in 2007 repeating that they would be fine and that the champagne would taste sweeter in September -- as he let the season slip away.

Ya and that’s what’s going to happen this season unfortunately.

With that said. Sale looks fantastic today wow.

Sale is annihilating their batters. Can we get some runs or are we going to get shut out and then dump on Sale. LOL!!

You know better than that. We only produce offense when E Rod is up lol.

Meh. Devers could replace anyone in the lineup except Bogie and get similar results. Beni's heavy legs are 2d on the team in SB's. The much bigger hole in the lineup is wherever JDM is. Beni's OPS has dropped 50 points from last year, but JDM's has dropped 150 points.

Today Beni has already been walked once, maybe because Travis and Leon follow him and are dog doodoo.

Maybe Leon is good for Sale. I argued the opposite recently, but today Sale looks awfully good in the box score.

Another high ERA LH'er stiffing the Sox in Fenway. No wonder Sale can't win--his pals do not hit for him.

I see Panini Sandwiches is cutting us up again today. We just cannot hit these kinds of guys worth s***. We have a few guys that can hit them. But far too few.

Sale certainly seems to have regained some command of his Slider and Change at the expense of FB velo. That could be fine except Sales does not throw his Slider for a called strike. He gets guys to chase it out of the zone. If it gets around that his FB velo is like 91-92, tops 93, they just won't chase the Slider. Why would they. They will just sit on weak cheese. We will just have to see.
