Its a double spiral to hell. The quality of ML pitching has gone straight into the toilet and pitchers are scared to death to throw strikes because all hitters have to do is flick their bats at this rocket ship baseball AND its outta' here or its a hot smash into the gap if they just don't get under it enough.

Porcello could have started on normal rest, I believe, after throwing just 33 pitches in his last start. In the last 11 days Porcello has thrown 33 pitches. So why is Velasquez out there?
