Our bullpen sucks, we don't really have a stopper in the rotation. In fact the guy that looks most like a stopper is ......ERod of all people.

 

And we don't have an offense with enough gas in the tank. Until JD and Mookie figure out how to hit all these breaking pitches they are seeing, its going to stay that way. I have hope for JD, not so much for Mookie. Its a testament to all the suckage in baseball that we are still one of the better teams in the league.

I have given up on them for today. There was a nice start with the offense getting it started. Then E-Rod went into his nibbling act. The guy has stuff but his head has never been right. Then a nonchalant play by Bogie and a poor response by Nunez. Nunez next makes a bad play on a grounder. Nevertheless we take a lead innto the 7th and our terrible BP blows up and we have a total misplay from Chavis. If Moreland was back we would have an option.

 

This is a team going nowhere this year. I also would not deal away what good prospects we have but and don't think even two solid BP pitches can help us. Time to reset.

We all know what the glaring issue is guys. Dombrowski needs to take a lot of heat for this. This is squarely on HIM. Not only is the pen inadequate.. they are a flat out embarrassment to big league baseball. Well said. E Rod was fantastic today. Sale has not been good his last two starts. Porcello was bad yesterday. Outside of Price I just don’t trust anyone right now. The offense is too inconsistent to pick up the slack. This just isn’t our year. Need changes and fast.
