The obligatory Porcello by Sale is now out of the way. I can only assume Weber did not get the memo on how to dominate.

Houston is definitely not scared of Sale.

Does Sale seem a little FB happy tonight? Of course i guess if I want to make that case I would have to say that Sandy seems a little FB happy.

looking at the Astro's lineup stats BA/OPS, I have tried but just can't find the equivalents of Nunez, Pearce, Leon and Bradley. How do they win without those guys ?

Miley is using 5 different pitches. Sale is using 2, slider and fastball.

Slow, slower, slowest, down/in, down/away.

Sale is throwing a ton of FB's. There has already been a number of "almosts". Somebody is going to catch one of these with ducks on the pond.

Funny....somebody mentioned a couple nights ago that Cora was entering his Farrell period.

Remember the year under Farrell when the Sox got on so many umps mainly from the bench that the entire league ump corp got on them. This is starting to look a bit like that. As I remember it, that year did not go well for us.

I apologize for asking Sale for less K's and more innings. The K does eliminate pathetic defense.

Totally agree, although tonight, we can't count on SL catching the damn thing.

Sales slider is not biting as much as in his last game, but the defense looks lackluster or as others have typified it, pathetic. I also wonder about our lineup stacking up against the Astros. We have 4 bottom of the order hitters with BAs below 200. These 4 looked better against Toronto but Astros pitching may reveal that they haven't turned any corner just yet.

here's where you see how JDM's back really is. Time to deliver

His back has got to be hurting his swing. That one was weak. Not taking outside edge strikes to RF ?

Doing anything well against the likes of the Jays and the O's proves nothing.
