I know it's not a popular opinion but maybe Beni could learn to hit a ball once in awhile. he is as streaky as they come.

Sale with 8 K's through 3 innings. The guy throws too many pitches because no one can hit his stuff.

How many pitches he has thrown through 3?

It's the one issue i have with big strike-out pitchers. You certainly can't complain about averaging 5-6 innings when you usually are leading the league in ERA, but I imagine he could go a lot deeper if he didn't nibble so much. 9 batters faced, 3 3-ball counts, 4 2-ball counts.

I don’t know if he’s afraid of contact or what not but i hope he improves that.

Yeah, 9 Ks in 4 innings is just asking for trouble. Bench him until he learns to pitch.

He won’t. He’s a K-pitcher. He’s always been. The good thing is that he always pounds the strike zone.

As I watch Mikey C crush it and think about what Theo use to say about talent .Find me 9 shortstops I'll find a spot for them .Bobby Dalbec ? The guy is another monster with the bat .How do we get this guy in the lineup in sept or before ? Edited by Swiharts Ghost

Come on, it's a fair critique. With him, other than his injury/wearing out issues, it's really the only part of his game that could be better. He's been one the best pitchers in the game for the last 6 years. No one is debating that. I just really love guys like Roy Halladay who are happy pitching to contact when they seem to end up in the 8th inning every start.

JD owes Chris a granny now .

Let's hope that Cora doesn't owe Sale a no-no or a perfect game for this defensive alignment.

Yeah, Pedro, Clemens, Nolan Ryan, Koufax--they all had the same problem. And hell, if Mickey Owen had just insisted on a hittable pitch right down the middle rather than a third strike, he would have walked away with a World Series ring in 1941! But NOOOOOO.

Rask keeping the Bruins in the game in the 1st period if anybody is interested, Bruins spending the entire period in the penalty box. Even a 5 on 3. 0-0 with 5 to go in the ist.
