Chavis came into this game with an OPS over 1.000. He is going to strike out. He is also going to hit some tape measure jobs. And he has looked decent defensively.

Range is overrated. If you proerly position yourself, you hardly have to move to field the ball. Chavis looks like a master at this

I don't think he has played much 2B in the minors....could be wrong. He is still learning the position, so his footwork might be a work in progress. He has, overall, been a pleasant surprise so far.
