For the older guys the memory of Dick Radatz coming into the game was a rare thrill for the 60's Red Sox. He was the Red Sox answer to Ryne "Can't See s*** " Duren of the Yankees. I met Dick in the later 1980's and he was a great guy to hang with, drinking copious Mississippi Mudslides. His son, Dick Radatz Jr. was a young FO type before the analytics age. Dick radatz was old school and a great closer before it was fashionable

Thanks for the info. I became a Sox fan in the early 70's. I had heard of Radatz, but I never saw him play.

A large human being with equally large appetites. Could smoke a fastball over the plate or behind your head. he was fun to watch in action.

He had an unusual delivery....sidearm all the time.

Somewhat of a struggle for the Sox, and wondering what happened to Brasier ? But a win by any name or method counts.

True that, he came from third base side and intimidated RH hitters

If the O's obtained Tzu Lin, they would have WEI'S and MEANS.

Enough with the Wei we will win this series, Splendid

My bad. But I think JBJ getting a hit works better for my 100% theory.

A BB and a SAC might be the best we can hope for.
