I will take that. Brasier got away with a pitch to Davis that he should have put out on Sausage and Pepper Sub row out there in RF. This could have been worse.

It is Chris Davis.

Soup Campbell once went 17-5 in relief.

Dick Radazt went 16-9 in relief for the Sox in 1964.

For the older guys the memory of Dick Radatz coming into the game was a rare thrill for the 60's Red Sox. He was the Red Sox answer to Ryne "Can't See s*** " Duren of the Yankees. I met Dick in the later 1980's and he was a great guy to hang with, drinking copious Mississippi Mudslides. His son, Dick Radatz Jr. was a young FO type before the analytics age. Dick radatz was old school and a great closer before it was fashionable

We should know a lot more by the deadline. I, too, don't think anything will happen before then, unless JBJ is still at 1.47 by mid or the end of June.

If JBJ never snaps out of it, we may not even offer him an arb, especially if we are looking to reset the tax for 2020.

You see the future like the three eyed crow with respect to JBJr.

Which means all he has to do is tap this baseball in the right direction off the barrel and its going. True, he does not "tap" it that often. It might end up interesting to see Davis's HR:H ratio by year end. This year it might be something truly goofy.

I saw Radatz pitch in the 60s too. I remember one occasion when the Sox were up by a run in the 9th against the Yankees, bases loaded and nobody out. In comes "The Monster" (which was his nickname) and he throws nine strikes in a row, blowing the Yankees away. He never liked the nickname, he said, because he didn't want his son growing up thinking he dad was a monster.

Mickey Mantle was once asked "who's the toughest pitcher for you to hit?" Mantle responded "Radatz; I knew he was gonna throw me a fastball and I still couldn't hit it."

If JBJr, who cannot hit right now, has a 95 % success rate of stealing 2nd base, why doesn't he run every time he gets on base, however, rare ? Because he sucks as an offensive baseball player

The asswipe goes from 1st to 2nd only on a single to right. I was away, so may have missed the real play.

The SOX win 100% of its games when JBJ gets a hit. I'm only kidding. I don't know if that's true.

I wouldn’t be surprised if true.

I think he walked, not a hit, which was a minor miracle by itself
