Actually a good day at bat for JBJr, working the 3-2 walk and getting a line drive hit, and a hard shot at the fielder

Can't believe the Brewers lost last year's NLCS due to having Travis Shaw play 2b.

They didn't win it now did they!

We seem to have missed thanking Marcus Walden for 3 innings of 1 hit ball on 31 pitches, followed by Workman getting his inning with only 12 pitches, indicating command and control by both pitchers. Actually a pretty good bullpen game today
Great job from those two, but if you have to keep going to the pen this game, we are bound to find a clunker. It is a search for failure.

Lin cements his future with a leg hit and rbi. Very nice to see the lower end contributing. Now for Beni the bunter to slam one.

Correct. THEY LOST IT BECAUSE THEY HAD SOMEONE AT 2B WHO WASN'T A TRAINED 2BER!!!!!!!

Nice to see Lin producing. Ever since he fixed his swing two years ago, he's had a good enough bat to help him stick somewhere in MLB.

They won't win it again. Dodgers clear cut to go to the World Series in my opinion (and likely lose again) Dodgers offense this year has been very good, and their pitching is in the top 10.

Could you imagine if they make it 3 years in a row and lose 3 years in a row.... Poor bastards :( (Buffalo Bills fans know that all too well)

AKA what the A's are dealing with today.

I think after the initial series in Oakland, many of us would have traded JBJr for Laureano, yet in this series he has been a dog. Beni's short fly was the CF's ball similar to Bradley and Betts confusion several games ago. Oakland really is awful on defense.

To be honest I wasn't on the fence of trading just yet...... More less because the entire team was struggling to start the season and I just chalked it up to the West Coast trip. Most on here wanted JBJ gone, I was in the middle so I didn't really say anything.

I really don't care what the Brewers do...at least Shaw had significant ML experience. Chavis has neither ML nor 2nd base experience that is worth a darn up here. If Chavis gets wiped out at 2nd base, I am going to "I told you so" this board right into the ground. I am already anticipating some ugly play there. Heck we have already seen some ugly play there.

I feel much better about going to Brewer with a 5 run lead.

Brewer has actually been more solid lately if I remember correctly. He had that brutal game against the Tigers but his last 2 or 3 outings he has been pretty solid.

I am telling all concerned that is not the same JDM swinging the bat that we are used too. He may not be complaining but I would bet it all the back is not 100%, or he has let the injury get in his head momentarily.

He just doesn't seem injured to me...... Generally (not all the time, but generally) a player with a back injury you will catch a glimps on their face or something showing they are in pain. Having back pain and swinging the bat like JD does is not pleasant. I don't know how he could hide that each and every at bat. Same speculation as Sale with some thinking it's an injury but in my opinion Martinez just sucks right now.

His experience might not be worth a darn to you, but his performance is proving to me that he's ready.

Also, they changed the rules so that you can't get wiped out at 2b anymore. Even when it does happen, great players like Pedey can get injured through no fault of their own. I don't see how Chavis would be more likely to be injured.

You frankly try to "I told you so" the board more than enough anyway.

The only everyday player on the A's worth a shite is Chapman.
