After the shock wore off.

Lol! Too much happening tonight. JBJ gets a hit and we put 11 on the board. Carolina ties it and takes the Caps to overtime. I’m gonna have a pudding. I can’t take this excitement.

Blowouts mean nothing. Consistency means more.

Agreed! Though it does feel nice to win in convincing fashion. Pretty sure by this time last year we had at least 8 or 9 blowouts lol. Feels good to have that again.

At this rate, Barnes’ arm will be dead by August. Hopefully, the offense starts to step up and we can have some comfortable games for the pen.

The 9th inning tonight was a good situation to use Brewer.

Wow, did E-Rod not look like a #1, #2, #3 starter last night.

In fact, his STUFF was flat nasty last night.

I won't set myself up thinking he's finally & definitively turned that corner, but he certainly looked great last night.

Kind of random, But Pomeranz was rock solid last night for San Fran.... Thought that bum would never get it together after his train wreck last year.

He’s back at a spot with zero pressure. He will do fine.

You could well be right. I never did like POM, but those numbers from last night don't lie. My guess is you only need the fingers on one hand to count the number of times he went six shutout innings for the Sox.

I have to admit it's a better line-up than the ones I used to see on DRAGNET.

Nice. The two obvious perps in last night's lineup were JBJ and Vazquez, but both got 2 hits. Of course, there is the other meaning for "hit."

Before he got hurt he was pretty solid for us and looked like he was really starting to get it together....... But then..... all went to hell lol.

Well said. His courage tank was lower than the lion in the Wiz.

So Thornburg got a pass for his 9th inning effort . He and Barnes extinguished themselves, but the hitters finally set the stage for a laugher, while the BP coulkd let the fire burn itself out, no help from them.

Honestly, it's about damn time the offense took over and won a game for us! I posted earlier, that by this time last year I think we had 9 blow outs. This was our first blow out and a very nice show by the bats. I hope there is more to come. And E-Rod was very good which also helps. Was a pretty sound game over all.
