Stanton won an MVP after that and was worth 4WAR last year. His contract has been widely considered a steal for the Yankees. So....yeah, you're wrong with that. We had Andujar and Torres last year too. You're just being pissy. Take a Midol, open some ice cream, put on a chick flick and have a good cry

I know you had them last year. I remain skeptical on Stanton. To listen to Murderers Row you would think the Yankees won the 2018 WS....NOT!

Workman picks the worst time to implode.

Brasier with one bad pitch.

Nunez should be on the IL.

We are finding ways to lose.

Eovaldi looked very good. We out hit the Yanks 8-5.

Still April.

& apparently, I f***ing love watching Netflix with my wife...

I've been watching some good prison documentaries on Netflix. Good stuff. Can't believe how many dudes out there in this world who look happy being in a filthy, dirty, nasty prison.

Moonslav59 i like your optimism but sooner or later you have to start winning games more often than not. Tampa just keeps rolling. Don’t you think this team has to win at least 2 out of 3 this weekend from tampa bay or best yet a sweep.

Maybe it's me just getting older, I don't know but right now i'm not mad or upset about this start. We won the world series last year and so I'm thankful for that. I realize it's just very unlikely to win or expect a world series championship every.single.year. So i'm just going with the flow.

As with everything with Nunez. DFA the tool already.

Mookie just hit the Mendoza line. Could anything be more appropriate? He has his head up his ass on the basepaths and in the outfield, so why not at the plate?

With all of the World Series team back except Kelly and Kimbrel I expect a lot more, never mind that we have the highest payroll in baseball( around 240 mill)

When your window is about to close and your minor league system is brimming with s***, you cannot punt a year. If the sox suck into July and they become sellers, they might re-stock, but it will take awhile to reach the mountaintop again

This team just sucks right now. I don't think there is anything else to say. They are literally losing to the Yankees backups and AAAA players.

the one good thing about the injuries is it gave Frazier some run and he’s leading the team in RBI. He’s finally figured out his issues in the bigs. It was all about pitch selection. Even with Gardy’s heroics, if things continue up to when we get healthy, there’s a good chance Gardner finds his way to the pine

Brandon Workman? Seriously? The guy that is allured for his work in the 2013 World Series game 6 pitching with a 6-1 advantage? He has done nearly nothing of importance since. His fastball wouldn't able break Hollywood glass and mirrors. Edited by Station 13

Very bad

Brett Gardner--- you must be kidding. Once again, a reliever (Workman) who cannot throw a strike will kill you . One who cannot nail Gardner will also kill you. Don't fail to note that the bats quit again after the 2 HR's.

I thought this "little person" was an untouchable asset forever more. So surprised anyone would call him out.

Just finished watching this loss. Had Tivo'd the game while watching the BRUINS win. The SOX are truly a terrible team in bad need of a real 2nd baseman. Also, a team that may have the worst hitting starting outfielder in MLB. I don't have to name him, it's obvious. Well, maybe I better name him, JBJ. Didn't want you to think I meant Betts, although he's looking more like a bowler than a baller.

Baltimore will probably prevent this team from duplicating 2014, but it might be close.

Oh well, if you keep breathing the scent of 2018, it might help overcome the stench of 2019.

Eovaldi looked good for his 6 innings, but then he always looks good against the Yankems. Btw, as bad as it was losing, getting beat by 'penis head' made it even worse. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

With Pedey, Nunez and Holt able to play 2B, I can see why we didn't go after a 2Bman, but this past winter I and others discussed trying to sign a 2Bman. I mentioned LeMahieu a couple times, but I can see how throwing more money at 2B was not a top priority at that time.

I honestly could care less about "fixing" 2B. The Sox won 108 last year basically with good field, no hit Kinsler--and sometimes Holt and sometimes Nunez. 2B to me is borderline irrelevant to our current struggles--except that Pedey still gets paid whether or not he can play.

I do regret my harsh remarks about Mookie even though he has said basically the same thing about himself. i think I picked on him because the commentators going into this season kept talking about his potential for a "big" contract and how $20M for this year would be chicken feed. My expectation, however, is that he will recover and again be a key member of the lineup.

Too true, especially about JBJ.

One last thing. 'Stone Hands' Nunez's inability to catch Bogie's toss to second base last night cost Eovaldi a run and about 20 extra pitches. IOW, that error cost Eovaldi another full inning of work. So, if I had to pick one play that cost the SOX the game last night, it was that one. Please DFA Nunez.

All you need to know about this team is 19 games in, Betts has more strike outs than hits.

So you're telling me there's a chance against Tampa??

Still April.

The bright side is that Eovaldi did look very good. IMO, our rotation is starting to come into form and will be there very soon.

Not only is it still April, but there really isn't much competition in the AL as far as making the playoffs go.

That said, enough with this losing. I'm sick of it.
