Craig has a problem with the number 4. Whether it's 4-out saves or 4-run leads. Something about that number messes up his head.

Wasn't there some dummy that expected Eovaldi to perform like Joe Kelly and Beeks to do well in Tampa? Oh, that was me. Still think the trade was unnecessary, but so far I'm very wrong about the performances, and if Eovaldi keeps it up, I'm probably wrong about the necessity too.

Eovaldi, Pearce, and Kinsler. Considering the SOX lack of good prospects, a magician's job by DD.

Yeah, it's kind of an all-time feat of deadline magic so far.

Wonderful pickups, all three and Theeee Yankees lose, Theeee Yankees lose!

One stupid bender to Stanton and the game is over...Stanton walking back to the bench....but NOOOOO. Kimbrel has to show him he could beat him upstairs with heat and guess what....HE COULDN'T. Just take your win and get the f--k off the field idiot!
Teddy Ballgame always said that pitchers were the dumbest animals.

It would be difficult to catch up but let’s remember that we have a tough schedule ahead while the skankees play a weak schedule and we still have a bunch of games with them.
I get it, and I almost never declare the Yankees dead, but if they drop tomorrow's game, losing 4 without facing Sale, and falling 8 down in the loss column, I will make an exception and declare them dead for the division.

1978 cured me about ever being overconfident.

I second that. I thought they were perceptive pickups at the time and, of course, still do.

I'm more hesitant than you, but I may well join you should this sweep occur. Eovaldi helps with this decision.

I wanted wheeler but eovaldi has great stuff when it’s on. If he’s your 4th or 5th best pitcher that’s a good thing to have. He’s more than capable.

Not me. My memory is too long. As far as I'm concerned the Yankees are never dead until that wooden stake gets driven through their hearts.

Our offense has sucked the moosecock of danish kings

...And all this time I thought it was the Red Sox pitching.

I wonder if Cora would be a dick and make tomorrow a bullpen game since all of them need work after masterpieces by Porcello and Eovaldi. No Price.

What's your beef with the Danes? Why can't you hate the French like a normal person?

Eck "You can't be half stepping with that mediocre cheese in there".

Eck is a crackup....

LOL That line cracked me up as well.

Adams hasn’t pitched that bad for them. Still a very close game.

Adams pitched pretty decently, considering.

Too bad. I was really hoping we'd pound him.

Regardless, Eovaldi pitched a great game which bodes well for us going down the stretch and into the playoffs.

See, I always was wondering if this was some weird issue because watching on Reddit, but I literally never hear whatever TC is saying. Haha.

LOL I've noticed it does that if you're watching on a non television device.

Jesus Christ, Kimbrel didn't make it easy. But 8.5 game lead looks very nice.

It wasn't pretty, and way more tense than it should have been after 2 quick outs, but I'll take it.

Yeah baby!

Go for the sweep and the kill tomorrow!

I do it with much trepidation. I usually take the approach that I will wait until the stop breathing, and then I will still want to stab them in the heart and shoot them in the head twice. But i do think that they are dead for the division if they lose on Sunday. Of course, Sale falling apart or some other disaster could change my prediction. Edited by a700hitter

Does my tip for avoiding the MLB blackout restrictions work for you?

We'll I do have to admit, when Yankee fans chastize their own team, at least they make it colorful.

That Adams kid looks pretty good though.
