The only baseball players he knows are Big Papi, Andrew Benintendi and Mookie Betts. When we were on vacation, we swung by a baseball card store (they still exist) and grabbed a few Mookie cards for him.

I wanted the Red Sox to give Betts the day off. It looks like he needs it and he should be fully rested against the Yankees.

 

The only thing I don't like: I would play Holt in RF and keep Martinez as DH.

Chris Sale goes on the 10 dayDL with shoulder inflammation. The roster just found an opening. Sale will miss the Yankee series. The reduced workload just fell through the floor.

Holt isn’t much better than JD in right. JD likes playing OF so keep him happy. Better arm too.

Sale threw at his usual velocity during his 9 pitches in the ASG....generally if you have a significant injury you don't throw at 98. I am not overly concerned.
