Horrible loss.

Now, go kick the Nats ass, and put this behind us.

Yeah, if you liked Severino, you will love Schwerzer assuming he goes Monday night

Price is either a choker or else he's the unfortunate victim of randomness. You decide. I already have.

Chocker. Not a doubt. Anyone thinking differently about him is just wishing....

Dave needs to stay away from The Bronx and Houston and I think he will be ok ...Now I'm slowly down from my rage of him now .I think we must protect him from those two parks and we will be ok .

Price dominated Houston earlier in the year. He’s face NY twice this year and allowed 12ER in 4.2IP.

He’s got a 3.32ERA against everyone but the Yanks

But that's only because there's no such thing as choking, right?

That to me last night was the worst as in most obvious incident of Price just choking it up that I have seen and lets face it there have been many instances where his biggest failures have come in big games. But last night he was clearly a nervous wreck out there. When you cannot even execute a FB and you live on a FB, you are not throwing the ball freely. There was no physical reason that I could see for him not throwing the ball freely. His FB was either out of the zone as in not even close or piped right down the middle of the plate. His cutter didn't cut (and a cutter is just another type of FB) and his Change didn't change anything the few times he even attempted it.

HE CHOKED again and this time as definitively as I have ever seen it. I would not let this chump get anywhere near a big game start in the post season. If we were up 3-0 in a 4 game I might let him start and you really cannot set up your rotation expecting to be up 3-0. So for my money he goes to the pen for any post season game and that is that. Hopefully he gets ridden out of town on a rail because I am tired of the appeasers coddling this prick.

Probably going unnoticed here was that the Sox mustered up only 4 hits last night. One by Leon and one by Swihart. Severino is the real deal and that Yankee lineup ain't bad.

And if you think Hector Velazquez is any part of the answer to the starting or relieving pitching on this team except fpr garbage time, think again. He has nothing Manny Del Carmen didn't have. The hitters showed no particular abilities either against tough competition.

Just like the Yankee hitters showed 'no particular abilities' against Sale...weird how that works.

Yankees are 20-6 now against Lefty Starters, you better be a above average Lefty, (like Sale), to beat them. They don't hit them for average, they just hit HRS. If we face them in Post-Season, this better be thought out, to break up putting 3 Lefties in a row.

Edit: Sanchez is struggling and yet he has a .264 average against Left Handed Starters this year, with 6 HRS. They like Lefties.

Not trying to make anything worse but Severino has not given up more than 3 Runs in his last 10 starts.

Price absolutely stunk the place up last night. I'm not excusing him in any way.

That said, Price could have pitched a very good game and given up 2-3 runs, and we likely would have lost anyway.

That said, it's kind of tough on the offense when you're taken out of the game by the 2nd inning.

I've been so busy over the last month and have only seen literally 5 games. We've lost all those games.

I hereby ban you from watching any more Sox games.

Would they just shut up about the 6 inches of depth? Please ARod doesn't have 6 inches but I wish he would take whatever inches he has and uses it to shut her up.

What a sexist comment. Shame on you.

He was not overrated when he was having Cy like years everywhere he pitched before Boston.

He was one of the true elite pitchers in the game.

No he mostly sucks.

I think we should kidnap his dog after the season and hold him hostage until daddy opts out.

My plans are usually pretty effective.

Price actually had really good numbers against the Yankees before he came to the Red Sox.

Meanwhile Lester is 11-2 with a 2.25 ERA. #NENeverForgets

Yeah, I'll never get over letting him walk. Home grown ace that 'had it' and was as clutch as they come. Ice water veins. Maybe my favorite Sox player in the last 2+ decades.

I am with you on this.

It was a crude attempt at humor, but it wasn’t sexist. I may have insulted ARod’s manhood, but I am far from the first to do that.

0 for 2 on classy comments.
If you are looking for classy comments on a game thread when the Res Sox list 11-1 to the Yankees, you should probably expect to take an 0-fer.

Edit: I have always said that my favorite Yankees bare those with pilot’s licenses.

Of course it was sexist, but I wouldn't expect you to admit to it, but rather deflect.

The proper response here would be, "I'm sorry Kimmi, I was out of line."

Is it too late to get that pitcher?

I apologize for the crude attempt at humor. But grow a sense of humor.

You know he never admits to being wrong, about anything.

Why should he have to apologize to anyone?

It was a crude comment but no one was maimed by it.

Most people are annoyed by both A-Roid and Mendez.

My sense of humor is fine.

I appreciate you apology, but even with that, you're deflecting big time.

And you thought it was as funny as hell, right? That is because you have a sense of humor. Those two morons under the guise of doing color commentary were droning on about 6 inches of depth. They must have said it almost 10 times. It was begging for a crude comment.

Of course you don't think he should apologize. You condone sexist behavior.

I apologized. It is absolutely a crude remark, but I am not in control of your characterizations of it. I apologize if it offended you in any way that it offended you. And I think it is big of me to apologize to you since the comment wasn’t directed toward you and lot’s of crude remarks get passed on this board and they go without apology.

And you do need to grow a sense of humor, imo.
