Pitch the hot hand. Don't over think it.

And DL the stone cold dead arm who half the time won't cover 1b on a grounder to the right side.

Ah, the mythical “hot hand”. I like it.

Oh you foolish child.

Hot hands is not a quantifiable skill. Nor is it repeatable.

Don't you ever listen and learn?

Myths are so interesting for my child-like mind.

Myths go back literally thousands of years although I prefer the newer ones. The good ones actually do have some semblance of truth, just not the whole truth.

That's a second very, very good start from Steven Wright. 7 shutout innings followed by 6 2/3 more.

Looking really, really good so far.

Farrell robbed 2 years from Wright's career with his buffoonery.

I don't understand this. You didn't think that Wright looked like a baserunning phenom walking off the mound last night.

Wright and JBJ used to be my two favorite Sox players. Now, with JBJ's massive slump and Wight's off season issue, I'm kind of looking for a third player-- Maybe ERod or Kelly?

Betts , Bogey, Sale or JD would be too easy!

He looks more "athletic" than this Swihart phenom!

Oh, Moon. No. IMO Swihart looks athletic while Wright looks like he should be playing in a geriatric tennis league. I believe that in any athletic endeavor other than the ability to throw a knuckleball Swihart would kick Wright's ass every day. Unfortunately for Swihart, Wright has a skill that will keep him on a ML team while Swihart may not.

Remember, pitchers don't have to be athletic but position players do.

I was joking.

Erods one of my favorites. I love how effortless he looks on the mound, he's pretty good. But the best part of being a fan of ERod is you get to cheer for him, but you also get to bitch and moan all game about him not attacking the plate. It's the best of both worlds..... you'll love it.

Given the vilification I gave Kelly for the opening day loss, I feel it is my duty to pick Kelly now as my favorite. I owe the guy.

Your vilification was misplaced. Players have bad days. They are human. It is the manager's job to know when a player doesn't have it. That one was on Cora.

I expected great tings from Kelly and hoped Craig would fill our 1B need.

ERod looked like a great ML ready prospect. His knee issues held him back, but hopefully the surgery put a final end to that chapter in his career.

Joe Freakin' Kelly!

That is all.

ERod frustrates the heck out of me.

So much talent, so much nibbling.

I'm hoping he's following in Lester's footsteps. Jon was much more of a nibbler early in his career.

I very much liked both of those trades.

The Miller for Erod trade is one you have to make, every single time, and twice on Sundays.

Joe is kicking butt - too bad it's his walk year all of a sudden. :(

Yeah, go figure. I guess the Sox should have moved him to the pen a little sooner, but I get that they had to see if he could make it as a starter.

Good call on that one. Let's hope ERod learns how to attack the zone like Lester did.

We're 11-1 in ERod starts.

KEEP ON NIBBLING!
