I've never seen a hitter have a stretch of just consistently hitting the ball with authority quite like JD since the trade to Arizona. If he had a little less swing-and-miss to his game, I don't even know how far he could go offensively (although not gonna hit .400, that's a pipe dream). But Jesus, dude can flat-out hit.

Shout out to my Mom who is no longer with us. She was about 5 foot 5 and if I any of you acted a fool she would kick our ass, or if someone threatened us she would woop their ass. then go back to watching Dr. Who or Masterpiece Theature. She was a very tough person who loved me fiercely. She also played the bagpipes.

Indeed. He's currently leading the majors in hard-hit percentage and #2 in BABIP, 'cause that's what happens when you barrel it up just about every freaking time. Glad he's on our team.

Manny loved to go 5.5 when pitchers were trying to beat him in with hard stuff and he was behind in the count. Still, Manny was born to hit, JD had to turn himself into an elite hitter. More than one way to skin a cat.
