Yeah, you are right, he didn't have an .800 OPS in May and OPS over 1000 last June or a 30 game hit streak a few years ago. He just sucks, and occasionally gets lucky and blindly gets a hit. Brock Holt and Swihart should be out ther

 

Obviously that was an exaggeration. However, he had an OPS of .726 last year and so far this year its under .400. How much time do you give him to prove he can hit the baseball? I say another month or so.

He's played 6 games and has had 20 AB's...

There shouldn't be hate for either, Its been 6-7 games for most teams. Goldschmidt is hitting .059. Jose Ramirez .043, Gary Sanchez .087.

JBJ is the most talented CF in my life ...he's also terrible with a bat in his hand ...he's an enigma ....but he's sooooo freaking talented with that Glove he is a starter ....

Poyner has been a Godsend when you consider how they are using him. He is getting RHers out and has every time out there. So he is saving us from more innings of Kelly or Barnes or spare me Smith and he is keeping Hembree off the mound as Cora would end up overusing him just as Farrell did were it not for Poyner right now.
