Next time mookie tries to steal a base against these guys he needs to do a hard slide into 2nd. Maybe that guy wont block the time after that.

Love it that Bogaerts and Price sure seem for real this year. And that we're tied with the Yanks at 2-1 (hey, who to hell are all those guys in the Yankee lineup...check it out) And that Craig Kimbrel is off to a great start.

I would immediately put Bogaerts in the 3 hole, the perfect 3 for me. None of this messing around with Ramirez.

Porcello really makes impressed tonight. He was moving the ball up and down in th strike zone and had late movement on his pitches.

Very encouraging start!

More than a few years ago by now... I barely remember his last year.

"A few years ago" means something different with each year you age. The year you began elementary school was "a few years ago" for me. The year you were born was "just recently" for someone in their 70s or 80s. For you, "a few years ago" was the Red Sox's last World Series win. For me, the 2004 one was. For someone older than me, the ball going through Buckner's legs was "a few years ago". Please don't make fun of us old guys. It hurts.

Porcello kept the ball in the park and got the victory.

Tomorrow is a real wild card with Velasquez going. If we win, starting out 3 and 1 is always good. If we lose tomorrow, splitting against a horse hockey team like Tampa is not good and it will highlight Cora's blown game.

I watched the game. It was a gem by Porcello. I didn’t expect this. If he keeps the ball in the the park, like today, we will win the division.

Said that, we should’ve been 3-0, but let’s win tomo.

I will make my usual Porcello prediction. If he keeps he ball in the park, we should win -- 80% probability. If he gives up 1 HR, we have a chance (50% probability of a win). If he gives up 2 or more, it will not be a good day (20% probability of winning).

This is nothing earth shattering. This could be said about most every starting pitcher. The more home runs they give up, the lower the probability of winning.
