The game plan and pitch sequencing for Porcello have been f***ing terrible. They have been blessed by the baseball Gods that Houston hasn't hammered Porcello into kingdom come. A sinkerballer living off a mediocre fastball in the upper parts of the plate? Jesus.

He's been getting away with it so far, but I bet Houston will just start laying off it. I'd like to see Kelly start the 3rd.

He doesn't seem to have any confidence and keeps throwing high fast ball. Just a matter of time until he is hit for a home run. I don't now what is in his mind.

Keep in mind ther should have been 2 strikeouts but the Umps are awful and said they batter laid off which is ********. Porcello hasn't been great but through two innings he is giving us a better chance than our last 3 starters.

If you watch HanRam, you'll notice he is really not trying to do much...just keeping his bat lined in the zone..hence lots of base hits, not trying to hit out of the park with that big-butt, braids flying, helmet falling off swing we used to.

The Sox offense gave him 5-1, 6-0 leads by the 3rd inning. He was blessed with great early offense. All pitchers get in a groove when that occurs. He never fell apart in a start, which was amazing in itself. Even in this game, he is poised with not really much command and so far only 1 run.

We are assuming he might give up a big bomb but so far after 2 innings we are down 1. Leave Porcello in for at least another 2 innings. He hasn't been great but there has been limited damage which is more than I can say for the other 3 morons that pitches for us and that includes Sale.
