Win. Great win.

It seems like we should have at least picked up a game on the Y's in exchange for this big win, but oh, well.

Pom has been pitching well, but the Sox were facing a guy tonight who is Sale-esque. And yet the Sox won.

It's a funny game.

The last two nights, we've beat the Guardians like John Adams beats that drum. As much as I love that thing, this is very encouraging news. First, Fister beats Carrasco, now Pommy and the pen beat Kluber? Impressive.

Gomes is getting a lot better.

I like listening to him now. He seems more relaxed and is funny. The dudes a wealth of knowledge about ball also.

Another tough game behind us and the Yankees remain 4 1/2 back. I like that a lot.

Working in the booth isn't as easy as it seems for these fill-ins. Think of yourself in your first couple of days in that job, knowing that millions of people are listening to every word you say and comparing you to someone like Eck. It takes a few days for them to 'find their stride'.

I thought Gomes struggled at first but he's now grown on me to the point where.. he's not going to replace Eck, but I'm liking him just fine.

His dumb-ass notions of "the right way" and "professionalism" is wearing. So having a pitcher throw at a guy because he swings the bad is 'professional'? Then, as if in a middle-school sports story, Nunez' getting a hit the next time up is 'the right way'? i.e., if he had grounded out, it would have been 'the wrong way'?

This team has definitely hit their hot stride right now. Such a beautiful thing to see. Pitching and offense have been an absolute joy to watch! Keep it going boys. Get this series win tonight.

Peaking too early...

Peaking too early...

Would you rather we suck now, lose the division, waste Sale in the Wild Card game, then have to face Houston in the ALDS? Didn't think so.

I doubt that was the alternative he would have suggested.

It could be argued that they peaked early last season.

They certainly didn't show up in the ALDS.

It is possible for really good teams to play very well for months on end.

Yeah, like basically every WS Champ ever. That's why they won it all.
