Go for the big sweep.

 

Put some distance between us and the Yanks (and others).

 

This ^ Rays and Yanks next. Both play us tough. Mr. Farrell should go all out for the sweep, with Monday off.

The thing for the team is to take it one game at a time and not get ahead of themselves. They can't be looking ahead to the Rays and the Yankees and take the White Sox for granted. Yeah, I agree. We have a couple of off days coming up. Go for the sweep.

Pomeranz tonight and Fister tomorrow. Because of the day(s) off, Sale will pitch the first and last games of the total of 5 against the Rays and Yankees.

 

I think it was spudboy who declaimed in last night's thread that ERod is borderline worthless and our 5th starter if not our 6th. I sure hope not because Price had another setback--pain while pitching--and we will need Fister, which means we darn sure will need ERod too.

Showed up on mlb.com at 7:34 last night. He could not throw his 3d flat ground session because of soreness.

I realize the importance of having him pitch against the Rays, but I would much rather have seen him go tomorrow. In the two series against the White Sox this year, he hasn't pitched. I wanted to see him spank his former team, especially now with this line up after the deadline.

I would much rather see him pitch against the Rays. I think our offense has a better chance of scoring against the White Sox than they have against the Rays.

Benny has too good of a stroke not to be a top talent in this league. Like everyone else, he has to make adjustments and will go through dry spells. In the end, I believe he will leave his trademark.

There's no pleasing some people

 

Well I don't expect him to hit 400 but it's the growing pains you get when you bring a prospect. I am sure he will make adjustments and rake again.
