Kyle Kendrick (Hasn't pitched since 2015 with Colorado where he was 7-13 with a 6.32 ERA)

Orioles have yet to announce a starter, but many are speculating Gausman will start tonight again, after throwing just 20 pitches tonight before being ejected.

His ERA in Pawtucket was 6 ish and he gave up 7 Home Runs.

The bright side is that in his last start he threw 7 shutout innings, giving up one hit and two walks. The start before that was decent. In his first two starts he was pounded.

Maybe just upset he didn't make the team out of ST and was able to turn it around? He looked good in ST.

I didn't understand why Kendrick didn't make the team coming out of ST. If he can come anywhere near replicating that we'll be ok.

They didn't need him since Wright, ERod and Pom were ready to go right after Opening Day. If one of those guys had a setback, he would have been up.

Win. Dance. Repeat. x3

I'm gonna miss this one, but that's alright with me. I'm getting a taste of what it's like to be a pro ballplayer tonight.

So it turns out Marco Hernandez dislocated his shoulder last night and popped it back into place by himself.

Looks like he will be on the DL soon.

Sox players are dropping like flies.

Won't Farrell ask DD or someone to give Hernandez a small bonus for voluntarily taking himself out of the lineup? If his absence also leads to a nice little winning streak of, say, 6-8 games, they can increase the bonus. I mean, this guy was trying to become the first player in MLB history to have more errors than hits.

I am waiting for Dojji to start a thread promoting the idea of bringing up Mererro and either putting him at third or moving XB there and putting the glovey Mererro at SS.

The odd thing is that even though Mererro is heading further into sub-Mendoza land, he would at least be a defensive upgrade.

Wouldn't be the worst idea. At least he can field. Right now we have a bunch of guys who can't hit OR field

I don't want Marerro's bat anywhere near this lineup. His glove isn't THAT good.

most overrated glove I ever heard since Iglesias. Marrero looks awful here.

We're about 1/2 step from PanicLand. Do you have a better option?

I'd take Rutledge or Selsky over Marrero. His glove just hasn't impressed me. If it was really that good, DD would have found a bench role for him before now. His bat is anemic.

My fear is that Holt will not return.

Pablow is a BIG question mark. If he does return what is it that we can expect from him?

Hernandez must have some damage. You can't dislocate bones without doing some damage. I could be wrong, but probably not.

Rutlege can hit. But boy does he need to sharpen his defensive skills.

I know next to nothing about Selsky. Which tells me that I should not expect too much from him.

And who is this lump-du-jour the Sox just signed?

So no, Mererro is not out of the picture.

Of course the Sox could make an unexpected and possibly expensive trade.

I'm usually looking for someone who can play adequate defense and hit for power at the corner positions. An outstanding defensive player is a ++.

Right now we don't have anyone who can fill either of those criteria so given that I'll take a guy who can bring the leather until we can find a raker. A glove guy not be able to create runs, but at least he's not giving runs away.
