I'm over the incident, and I never felt like there were leadership problems. I do wonder if Showalter gets over anything. This will still be a heated series if Showalter has his way me thinks.

Not against the Red Sox he doesn't. Nothing will happen tonight unless it's a blow-out game. Showalter will order retaliation at some point this season, but he isn't going to have one of his mainline guys do it. It will be a back of the bullpen type and I predict it will be at Betts when it does happen.

my bet tonight = no incident. We looked stupid coming out of Baltimore trying to make some kind of a statement. i have felt that there have been and still are leadership issues with this team.

Well, with Ortiz gone, maybe. It starts with Farrell. With Showalter running his mouth about the flu thing at the start of the season, I wish Farrell prepared them better, with a little more fire under their ass. I don't get the impression he's that type of manager, never have, but I could be wrong.

I am over the issue as well, and back on the Pedroia bandwagon as I previously posted. Personally, I think it's mostly the media that is dragging this thing on. I don't expect an incident during this series.

25% for each game? That's like 100% for the series. LOL

LOL Being a math teacher, this post made me cringe.

i agree with you. JF is tough for sure as an individual. There is absolutely no question about that ! none! Now as a coach does he prepare them adequately for all of the stuff that they might face? i don't know about that one. He would kick the crap out of Showalter if it was just the two of them. Sadly it is not. We really did look kind of foolish coming out of Baltimore. i do think that that is on Coach Farrell.

OK, here's a little math question that relates to this. (I'm only asking because I think I know the answer.)

If an event has a 25% probability of happening in one sample, what is the % chance that it will happen once in 4 samples?

Is this a 2020, edge of the 'Cliff' question? ;)

LOL No.. that was tonight. It just remains the same @ 25% until it happens! Which, BTW, I think is inevitable sooner or later.

This reminds me of the old Yankees rivalry when they were just itchin' to get at one another. Tampa Bay too.

Lol. Don't over exaggerate or nothin'.

Anyways, I always enjoyed those games down at the Trop where you just knew some s*** would fly.

68%? I haven't done probability in 20+ years.

Could it be that you are an "Old school Teacher" and have yet to embrace "The New Math"?

Do you think that's an exaggeration? What will happen if the Sox hit someone tomorrow night?

No no no. I was giving you s*** about something being inevitable sooner or later.

One can not over exaggerate.

One can not re-aggravate an injury either.

See where I was trying to go but obviously failed?

ROFL!!

It's all good, my friend!

You probably give people s*** about calling something an "ATM Machine" too, then. :D

Wow. Ass to mouth machines exist?

Another one of my favorites is when something is 'very unique'. Then of course there's 'extra virgin' olive oil.

And here's another one that's been grinding my gears lately - "One of the only...".

Something cannot be "one of the only". It can be one of the FEW but "only" is an exclusive property indicating ONE. The only way something can be "one of the only"is if it is the only one.

Good, I'm hoping to be one of the only posters who includes each and every one of these phrases into my next and very unique 100 posts, irregardless of context.

That's almost as bad as having a "fraction in your head."

Well, I have a friend who insisted that a certain player was on the DL because he had a "torn labia" in his shoulder.
