Well Big Dick is kinda in the middle of doing something.. Ill keep this on and check college football on the side.

It's not even pessimism. It's realism. Baseball can be like that if a pitcher is on and/or another is off. Toronto just lost 2 straight to the Rays in the Trop. s*** happens.

We can't keep doing this. We should have swept these clowns. We outscoed them 27-5. Earler this year we...

 

Outscored the Rays 12-9 and split 2-2.

 

Outscored the Tigers 21-18 and split 2-2.

 

Outscored the Dodgers 14-11 and lost 2 of 3.

 

Outscored the Angels 14-12 and split 2-2.

 

Outscored the twins 31-22 and split 2-2.

 

I know this happens, but these are just the series since July 21st, and there are no reverse examples where we get outscored but win or tie a series.

What this means is that we're typically blowing out our opponents in wins, and we're losing by very close margins. As frustrating as it is, that's a sign of a good team.

What's comical is the folks who are bewildered by the fact that the offense can't score any runs today after scoring a pile yesterday. Um, you may notice that the pitchers we're facing today are completely different than the ones we faced yesterday...

That's true, but it's still baffling that they can't score at least one run. I wasn't expecting to score double digits, but I was expecting our high powered offense to score some runs.
