I was born and raised in Los Angeles when the Angels were a PCL club. I still regard them as a minor league team. Tonight's game was a knife to the heart. If the Red Sox get blown out of a game, why is it to the Angels?

 

L.A.? Then perhaps, like me, you turned to NBA news for some relief from this horrific game and discovered that the Cllippers' GM, instead of landing Kevin Durant, just paid $36mil to re-sign the Clippers' coach's son?

Ummm..yeah. The problem with that is that he still gave up 3 ER in 4 1/3 innings. An ERA of 6.28. And I'm not sure that comparing yesterday's outing with his worst one of the year and then saying "I've done worse" is the best benchmark.

 

But maybe that's just my take on it.

Well technically, that is true. And perhaps the game turns out much differently without Shaw's two errors. That said, Clay really needs to stop making statements like these. He should take a page out of the David Price Handbook and own up to his performance.

Hard to imagine I know but I was just being a wise assed SOB there. I'm not much of a Clay B. fan. He is just making himself look sadder than he is by saying anything at all. If he feels better because he thinks that someone else performed poorly too that also says something about him.
