They can't go a whole season with him in LF. He is a train wreck. Heshould have been signed to play 3B, but he'd already signed fatso. He should have passed on Hanley and put the money towards pitching.

There's been well known cases of players using fake documents, so I wouldn't put much stock in that.

 

I realize this is not the same thing, but Somalis traditionally don't record day and month of birth. So when they immigrate there isn't any document and their birthdates are listed as 1/1 of whatever year.

I have to disagree with that: he hit well, and fielded well. What more was he supposed to do? If he didn't 'fit', that's on the other players who didn't perform as well, not on him. (Now a .180 hitting Peguero, THERE's a great fit for the 2015 Sox!)
