We need 7 from Kelly today. Blowing out the bullpen in April is a great way to f*** up your season.

Kelly heard you JE. He pitched a helluva game today and if it wasn't for that hiccup with those walks in the second it would have been a total gem. He has now beaten the Yankees three straight times since we traded for him. Who knows? We may have a secret anti-Yankee weapon here. We'll see.

I just woke up and have not looked. Is it possible that while making roster moves to activate Kelly that the Sox may do something to bring up other relievers?

I think Kelly goes 4 inning and craps out or is allowed to go further and gets shelled.

Breslow and Wright are burned as I recall. Some others only went one inning.

GO SOX! BTR MOJO RULES!!!

You hit upon something Spud. Is it possible that our bullpen might be a bigger problem than our starting rotation. Seeing Mujica in the game last night scared the s*** out of me.....and with good reason as it turned out. I also don't care what some pro-Wright people think, I don't think he offers much to the Red Sox unless he also wants to scare the crap out of us every time he goes out there. What the hell, though. We have already won this series----and can we turn the hat trick tomorrow? That would really be a hoot.

f*** u ogando

f*** Ogando, f*** Wright, f*** Mujica!!!!!!!! I think our bullpen could use a couple of arms that can get outs consistently. Good thing we put some runs on the board and took advantage of some Yankee screw-ups. BTW d-money, and the rest of you.....I have a hard time watching the game and trying to post on the game thread. I know I cannot multi-task and my wife never hesitates to remind me of it.....but this is ridiculous. I'll try and do it tomorrow.

Hey Kimmi, if you're tuning in----remember you talked about going 6-0 the first half-dozen games and I poo pooed that? I think I said be grateful for 4-2. However, we can both split the difference if we can turn the hat trick tomorrow. Sure seems better than what went down the first six games last season.

What a way to head off on a weeklong "vacation." I'll be building homes for the poor in West Virginia, most likely without any access to Sox games. This is a good sign of how strong our offense is. We're 4-1 now, and riding 3 games of BTR mojo. Sweet.

We can't play D and we can't hit. We suck

It's still early for both teams. Your pen does look pretty good.

I don't recognize some Yankee players.

I did not hit on anything. I was just wondering who could pitch from the pen today.

I am realistic about Wright. I don't see him as a front line weapon but as with all knucklballers he will have his moments of mastery and his moments of dramatic suck. He is what he is. I think that he showed his value last night. It was scary but he did fulfill his purpose.

I am all for a sweep of the Bumbers.

Mujica makes me very nervous. In low leverage situations he may be okay but a steady diet of closing? Who knows?

I was against the signing of Ogando but I have seen that he is death to batters when he is on. He looked bad today but has looked good previously.

I have stated my feelings on Wright.

Fred, just open two tabs on your browser. One each for MLB and talksox. It is easy. Trust me. If you need help I am sure someone here can walk you through it.

GO SOX!!!!! Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

Could you narrow it down a bit?

Kelly is the closest thing we have to a power arm on our rotation. He has had a problem staying healthy, bit when he is healthy, he has a very live arm.

Kelly came up huge tonight. No doubt about it.

5 games, 5 quality starts. I'll take it.

I hope you'll settle for 4. Miley went 5.1 IP.

Don't even think about messing with Thunder lineup mojo. I've done them the last two games.

I would not dare mess with your lineup mojo.

And I will never again question BTR's mojo. I obviously had no clue of what I was talking about. I bow to the Master of Mojo.

Carry on guys. Keep it going!

You're aware that it's a day game after a night game, right?

Of course. One never passes up an opportunity to take a shot at the Yankees though. Never mind that our outfielders didn't start either, the Yankees are wimps! LOL

Just saw the highlights. The Yankees defense, as noted, was brutal. A-Rod is gonna cost them when he plays at 1B. Their catcher is a disaster, too.

Far be it from me to defend Purple Lips.

How evah, the horse man has very little experience at 1st. With repetition, he should or at least could become more proficient.

I'm just waiting for a play where a batter approaches 1st and knocks the ball out of his Froid's purse.

And, of course, if the Puple One goes tumbling on his injection pocked ass I will smile all the more.
