I love the draft. Hoping Lewan falls to the Giants as they need O line help. Surprised the Browns went with a CB, especially since Manziel and Bridgewater were on the board. They need a QB

Not sure the Bills adding another WR before giving Manuel more protection was wise, considering giving up next year's 1st round. FO is in desperation mode to save their jobs when the new owner comes in.

I like the Beckham pick for the G-Men, but I am shocked they didn't get more O-line help. They needed a LT and Martin was available. I am shocked they didn't take him. Eli is good so long as he gets time. He got murdered last yr and couldn't throw to his own team. Adding better receivers doesn't help that

Manziel to the Browns. Because they have had such stunning success at picking up QBs the last decade or so. Don't they have the most starting QBs in the league in the last five years or something?

I hate the NFL Draft because Pats fans use it as an excuse to bitch and moan. BB should have garnered enough goodwill by being virtual locks for the playoffs year in and year out and his recent draft success. Nope, let's just whine for the next month about it.

I never follow college football so I'm reliant on the pundits and scouts and what I've read says he's mad overrated. I think it's very likely he could be a bust.

Worst D in the league adds to the O line? This is interesting

Well you could look at it as they are trying to improve the O so it stays on the field longer, thus limiting exposure of their D.

I'm mixed but overall pleased with the Jags selections. I thought Bortles was a reach at 3, and I'd have rather traded back the pick to get a defensive player and a QB towards the end of the first round or early second (I was thinking Bridgewater) however I love Marqise Lee in the 2nd round. I'm not sure if I would have taken another WR at the end of the second round (or if the trade with SF was necessary) but I do like the guy they picked. I'd probably have gone with one of the defensive guys that was falling in the draft. Overall I'm ok with it as the Jags are going to be a bad team for a long time anyway. I've shown more support for the Pats over the years as at least a team I like has a chance of winning.

Lee was a joy to watch at USC. He struggled a little last year. Hopefully it was just due to injury. He's a fantastic story. Read the grantland piece on him.

Really liked the Steelers draft.

Shazier was a solid pick and should be a starter right away.

Tuitt is a first round talent who fell due to an injury filled last season and is exactly what the Steelers needed with Keisel close to retirement at DE.

Archer is an explosive RB/WR who reminds me a lot of Dexter McCluster, is a great returner and could be a weapon offensively, even in limited snaps.

Martavis Bryant is 6'4 and ran a 4.41 40 time, that alone makes him worth a shot in the 4th round. His stats may not look too impressive but he played behind two first rounders in Deandre Hopkins and Sammy Watkins at Clemson. I watched him in the bowl game against OSU and those two fades he caught in the end zone were awesome. I'm really high on this dude.

Michael Sam drafted by a team in a red state, and will likely be the first gay NFL player. I am surprised this is not more of a big deal... Jason Collins in the NBA has been an extremely anticlimactic story. Maybe the media and biggots got bored and moved onto something else, I dunno.

What are you talking about? I've heard more about Sam than I have about any other player in the draft. I don't think they'd shown the video of him kissing his boyfriend after being drafted and crying less than 500,000 times on ESPN in past 24 hours.

There have been many before him, just none that were out to the public (media) during their careers. And this has been just as big in the news as any Tebow story years ago imo.

It is sports news, but not mainstream news. I heard plenty on ESPN, but not much outside of it.

This story was all over Facebook and in Boston.com.

Now some Dolphins player has made some dumb tweets about Sam kissing his boyfriend when being notified about his selection.

The media is starved for anything that has a half life of at least a few hours. To me, this is a non-story.

Edit: My post in no way should be interpreted as anti-gay. Because that is not how I feel.

It's being talked about everywhere... In fact Michael Sam is on front page of CNN kissing his boyfriend right now.
