Sorry for breaking your precious little pre-planned mojo cycle, kids, but... I don't trust it. Not one bit. MY f***ing mojo now.

Anywho:

Clay Buchholz (9-0, 1.71 ERA, 12 starts)

David Price (8-7, 3.51 ERA, 22 starts)

After yesterday's shenanigans, our division lead has been reduced to 7.5 games. Home field, 3 games, over Oakland. No bueno. I must admit my first instinct was to find Brandon Workman and slap him with a wet fish for not letting us put the exclamation point on Moe's retirement party, but no. We must keep calm and carry on.

Per ESPN's website, there are 964 tickets still available for the right to see David Price seized by the Sox players and tossed into the sparkling Tampa Bay ocean for having the audacity to stand between us and an AL east title. Grab em while they're hot, lads! Or don't. I mean, not like any actual Rays fans are going to purchase them, right?

I called the GT yesterday at the previous GT. This is a grievous violation of mojo law, and if we lose today, you should be punished, preferably physically.

I personally guarantee that we will not lose today.

And you can't call gamethreads. Just like little Timmy can't call shotgun a full day before his family's road trip to some s***** amusement park. It's simply not within his power.

Wow.

After going 12-3 over the past 15 games with the set up mojo, you're going to change it and then you're going to say you don't believe in it??

If we lose tomorrow, I'm going to be extremely pissed.

It's all good. To be honest, I saw something like this happen. It's a shame though, because we were putting in some serious work.

No s*** we won't lose today, we're not playing. Now Tuesday is a different story. We lose, J_E gets banned. The duration of the ban depends on how many runs we lose by, assuming we lose. You're pulling a thunder bro ;)

Sounds like a plan.

Now, the kicker: you, UN, and SFF get banned for a day for every win my mojo accumulates. If we sweep Tampa, then your bans become one day for every run we outscore them by, in addition to the three days for the three wins.

You should have just made it last night then.

Making a GT when there is no game? Real bad mojo.

It has happened this year and at least one time they came out with a W.

Let's hope that's the case here. I didn't recall that happening before.

Man up, naysayers.

By the way, if I hadn't started this today, this board would have absolutely zero activity right now. You're all welcome.

Really don't think that's worth f***ing with the mojo that was in place.

All signs point towards the sox losing this game as Buch hasn't been sharp in his rehab, it's his first start back in a house of horrors in Tampa and you're facing a perennial CY contender in Price (although he wont be in the discussion this yr due to injury). That being said, the sox defy the hell out of logic, so they'll probably win 11-0 and Buch will throw a no-no

Totally kidding dude lol. I even put a smiley so you wouldn't take it so seriously.

Eat a dick and worry about your own team.

The Sox definitely defy the hell out of your brand of logic...

Seriously? It's a friendly wager for people whining about my combo breaker. Adds some excitement to things and gives me something to obsess over in what's sure to be a very exciting week.

I wasn't aware of this mojo rule. Are people saying that it is bad mojo to start a GT on an off day? He has the right date on it, so I don't get it. I thought the mojo was limited to the thread starter. We are adding mojo rules? I understand that BTR starts all of his GTs typing with only the pinky finger of his left hand while sitting on the left side of his couch and petting a kitty with his right hand. In the future, ever GT starter should conform to this ritual to maintain the mojo. ;) If you don't have a cat, it will have to suffice that you pet a picture of VA's cat Yaz. Are we all straight on this? The season is on the line.

I mean, if it makes you feel better than I'll do it. I promise you, I'm not going ape s*** over you making this game thread, believe me.
