I wonder how much of Leyland's reluctance to pull starters has to do with the physical act of walking all the way to the mound.

I think the fact that he is so slow is indicative that he really does not want to go!

It's to the point where, after retirement, people won't complain when he takes up two parking spaces.

"He's earned a wider zone than the rest of us."

Out of respect, A-Rod will receive the same treatment at the bathhouses.

Here is the rest of Detroit's schedule:

3 vs KC

3 vs White Sox

3 vs KC

4 vs Seattle

3 vs White Sox

3 vs Minnesota

3 vs Miami

Cakewalk.

Or they could play 22 vs the Sox and let Tito win the Central.

I have no idea why Farrell has picked out Workman for this duty all the time...then he brings him into some really hairy situations....I get the hairy situations deal but why the f*** does he bring him in for this s***?

Does seem a bit odd. I guess he wants to save his lefty relievers for the Stadium. What other righties do we have - De La Rosa?

I wonder how much of it is just developing his ability to just get up on short notice - they seem to be grooming him to be Tazawa insurance here (given Tazawa's occasional cold streak and homerun bug). He has been starting and been stretched out so much, he might just need some work at just being ready for more condensed work. Only thing I can think of.

Why is my mojo so unappreciated around here? I broke at least three losing streaks, and had a four (five?) game streak going in one of my starts.

lol funny, I was about to mention you and say you should be in the mojo run to the playoffs. After I post a picture of all of us.

You possess serviceable, back end of the rotation mojo.

XB at 3rd, WMB at 1st, and Drew staying at short?

I don't want X up here if he is not going to start - he is young enough that the AAA reps do not hurt at all. If you want Drew and Middlebrooks to man the fort next season, by all means but let it be them. Drew I think has had a good season and is clearly a Top 10ish shortstop. But I suspect somebody will offer him a multiyear deal - and he has, like Beltre did with us, rebuilt his value - and I don't think I'd want to do that.

Yeah, you and every single person I know lol. Ive gotten like 20 texts today wishing me a happy hump day. A manager at my work took the time to wish 70+ people happy hump day via text, than made a group chat wishing us a happy hump day AGAIN a few hours later lol.

Entering this game, Drew was 5th in the AL in OPS for qualifying SS (included in the top 5 were the juicer Peralta and free falling Iglesias) with a .759 OPS, good for a 105 OPS+. He's also fifth in wOBA and 6th in wRC+. Coupled with his defense, what we have is a very good SS.

Can someone less lazy and with a faster computer check and see what my mojo record is this season? I know it's above .500, but I don't think by much. Pasta mojo, on the other hand, is excellent this season.

By my calculations, it's 7-3.
