Blasphemer!! In my long life, and some people here think I voted for Lincoln, we have won nothing without Big Schill. He was money for us, put his career in jeopardy pitching on that ankle, and brought home two championships for us. The man knows pitching and I enjoyed listening to his insights tonight.

Yeah, Ted never voted for Lincoln! He considered it but had already decided to never vote again after his first time, when his candidate died after only 30 days in office and that jerk John Tyler took over.

(Fun fact. John Tyler, who was president in the 18goddamn40s, still has living grandchildren. Not great-great or great-grandchildren, just grandchildren. Look it up if you don't believe me!)

I went to school with some of them.

Have been few starts, but thus far I was death wrong about Peavy. Hopefully he keeps going as solid as today.

Excellent road trip.

Perhaps it was an overstatement on my part. He's better than Mitch Williams, at least.

Funny how this was one of the best played games in a while and we spent half of it talking about nonsense.

Eck and Schill do the same thing. They both allow us to enter the mind of the pitcher while another pitcher is on the mound performing and that is priceless in its own way. If you did not know it already you end up realizing why some stud with a super live arm attached to a 5 cent brain is just kidding himself. Every pitch Schill ever threw was processed through the pitching computer that resides between the ears of the truly big league pitcher. That is true for Peavy as well.

It was very interesting that Schilling said that it would take 10 minutes to explain what goes through pitchers mind in 10 seconds before a pitch.

The perks of cruising to an easy win.

Beating the Dodgers 2 out of 3 in LA will give them a boost. This team won't fold. The pitching is good. Peavy is one of your playoff starters, for sure.

I'm trying to set the record for quoting the same person the most times in one GT. At least that's what it feels like.

Couple things:

1)BigPapi: I bet you were crossing your fingers so Nap doesn't get a 3 hit game. Don't worry though, it's coming.

2)Imagine if BTR would have made the GT a long time ago like so many people asked. The Rays wouldn't even be in sight with your mojo. I demand you make every GT after the next person that loses.

3)Anyone have the stats for Peavy with the Red Sox?

The last time I strongly suggested that BTR make the GT to get things back on track, you started it. :D

BTR's mojo has been king this season, with RSFFL not far behind. I'm sitting in the cellar.

No it's not. Be real for a second.

The loans are high. As long as you aren't a Psych major, it's worthwhile. It opens up doors to careers you can't have with just a highschool diploma.

College isn't a joke, but the fact that you need a piece of paper to determine whether you'll be somebody is. I don't like the idea not being able to be successful without college. What about those who can't pay for it?

I'm probably just gonna go for community college. All I want in life is a cool job, decent house, and money to spend on guns, video games, and a Russian mail order bride.

Trust me, take the community college route. Go for 2 years and then transfer to a better college. I'm currently doing that now. I have all my classes and books paid for with a scholarship because I go to a community college. Makes no sense to pay more when you can get the same at a community college. The first 2 years of college aren't the most important. It's all about the end.

Can't help but think of Cody Ross because of Crawford. Ross wanted to make a statement and killed the Sox the first game, just like Crawford. They both won the first game, then lost the next two. They could both go suck it.

I work tech support for Apple and started out making just shy of 40k a year with no college degree.

Both are true.

When I was 18 I use to earn around $200-220 a day as a site operative on building sites doing Aircon installation. This is because you have to really put in the grunt work-the old iron cylinders are not light. They use to take most the kids from care like myself for these jobs because we usually work out from far too young an age.

However, now I earn a little bit more than that as a Corporate Coach and considering I am 27 that is because of my Msc from LSE in UK.

So it is a double-edged sword. You are what you put in. College is NOT the guaranteed meal ticket it was 20-30 years ago.

As for Peavy with the Sox, he's 2-1, 3.31 ERA, 7.4 K/9, 1.1 BB/9, 0.98 WHIP.

That's why I asked you if you had had too much caffeine. You were all over the place.......

I see that now. I might have been on a sugar rush though.
