Taz fastball has lost 3-4MPH compare to last year. He might be pitching with an injury, who knows, the command and velocity isn't the same.

Tazawa average velocity 2012: 93.7 MPH

Tazawa average velocity 2013: 93.3 MPH

This is readily available information.

If you're getting that from Fangraphs, it is incorrect. They were mistaking his splitter as his fastball in 2012. Which affect the average.

Trying to find it on Brooksbaseball now.

So, would a walkoff win that propels us into first place be the sort of thing that kicks off an epic run that sends us scorching into the post season?

yes, yes it would be. Because I said so.

I am beginning to dislike this Furbush character. Seem to remember he was a pain in the ass in Seattle. Anyway, somebody hit a walk-off and send the fans home happy please.

Good spot here for Pedey....should be feelin' good tonight and I don't think this guy should have much for Pedey.

In 20 innings against us (going into the game) he's 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA 1.10 WHIP and .219 BAA. 22/6 K/BB

Impossible to tell but I could not see the ball change spin before it hit the ground. Think Pedey missed it.

Hopefully furbush cant pitch another inning. They really only got danny farquar left, and we lit him up last series against the m's

I still wish we didn't take out Tazawa since he only had 9 pitches, but it's good to see they didn't take out Uehara after 8 pitches. Those extra innings can save us if the game goes far into extra innings.
